Veteran Hardcore
🎮 **My personal hardcore mode adjustments**
I didn't originally plan to release this mod, I've been using a similar mod for **KCD1** for years. My goal is simply to tailor the hardcore experience to my personal preference. I'll update this mod when I have more ideas.

🎯 Major adjustments
**Skill experience adjustment**
- **Numbskull** set to **0.40** - Significantly slows down skill upgrades
**Horse Riding Weight System**
- **HorseMountMaxRelativeEncumberance** is set to **1.5** - consistent with **KCD1**
- You are allowed to mount your horse even if you are 50% overweight. If you are overweight, you will not be able to mount your horse.
- Works perfectly with the **Nightmares Will Follow** mod as you may feel weak in the morning
**Earning experience**
- **HorseRidingXPPerDistance** weakened **3x**
- Hardcore players usually don't use fast travel, they gain a lot of experience by riding around and it's usually the first skill to max out

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
