🎯 Module function

This mod expands and enhances Kingdom Come 2's cooking system, focusing on truly deepening the game's cooking mechanics. Designed for players who want a more immersive role-playing experience in Henry's daily life. Make some chamomile tea or fry some garlic mushrooms at a roadside campground and relax once in a while.

**Main functions:**

  • 🥘 Add tons of new foods with real nutritional value and effects that can be made from existing ingredient combinations
  • 🗂️ Utilize and expand the ingredient classification system (meat, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc.) to support mixing and matching into recipes
  • 🔥 Allows players to use different existing food preparation methods (smoking, drying, cooking) to create food with appropriate property enhancements
  • ⚖️ Create balanced game effects for each food type based on cooking methods
  • 🎮 Fully compatible with the base game’s food system
  • 📚 Add unique recipe books and cards to the game world through the appropriate vendors
  • 📈 Cooking increases survival skills - gain experience points based on the complexity of cooking meals

👥Suitable for everyone

This mod is perfect for role players and cooking enthusiasts who want a more authentic medieval experience. Mods have little impact on game balance, but rather provide greater depth for players who want to participate in the culinary aspects of medieval life, enjoy foraging for ingredients and experimenting to discover new dish ideas.

🛠️ How to use

All existing kitchens, campfires, smokehouses, and drying racks now support the addition of most (if not all) ingredient, drink, and herb types. Most innkeepers and merchants have new **Cooking Kit Items** that you need to craft new recipes. Mix and match different meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, spices, herbs, water, alcohol and more and see what comes out!

**hint:**

  • Most combinations range from 2 ingredients to 5, some special ones even more
  • **Pay attention to clues in ingredient item descriptions**
  • Check out various food sellers in the game to purchase recipes to help find and remember dishes

Each recipe produces an enhanced food item, often providing a small buff in addition to the standard food benefits to incentivize tracking and discovering new meals.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
