kitsmith - Repair Tool Consolidator
🎮 **Say goodbye to cluttered inventory and enjoy a tidy gaming experience! **
✨ Core Functions
This mod will automatically scan your inventory and merge together repair tools of the same type (blacksmith, shoemaker, tailor, weapons, etc.). Their durability is aggregated and then redistributed into a full kit plus a leftover if needed.
🎯 How it works
Every time **wakes up** from sleep (or every 20 seconds in the **polling version**), **Kit Smith** will:
- 🔍 Scan your inventory for repair tools
- 🔄 Group tools of the same type
- 📊 Summarize their durability
- 🎁 Redistribution to full kit + remaining parts
**Example description:**
- Before merge: 3 shoemaker tools (0.3, 0.7, 0.5 durability)
- Combined: 1 complete shoemaker's tool (100%), 1 partial shoemaker's tool (50%)
⚙️ Configuration options
The module provides flexible configuration:
- **Sleep Mode**: Automatically organize when waking up from sleep (recommended, safest)
- **Live Mode**: Automatically sort every X seconds in the game
- **DEBUG LOG**: The console displays detailed logs
- **Bandage Integration**: Optionally enable bandage merging function
- **Preview Mode**: Test mode, no actual modification of items
🎮 Usage suggestions
I personally recommend using sleep mode, which is consistent with game immersion and keeps your inventory tidy. If you are a hardcore immersion player, you can also use the **Veteran Repair Tool** module.
🔧 Technical details
In live polling mode, the game may experience a delay in reflecting inventory changes. To prevent duplicate merges:
- ⏰ Enforcing a **short cooldown (about 1 second)**
- ✅ **No tools will be lost** - The system will recalculate the total durability and output the correct number of tools
- 🛡️ Ensure inventory is **stable** before merging
📦 Installation method
Just copy it manually to the mods folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
