The Explorer skill has been completely revamped: discovering specific points of interest now grants temporary or permanent buffs. Explore with purpose.
henryexplorer
🌟 **Henry the Explorer** has been redesigned from the original *Explorer* skill in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II to provide rich rewards for players who stray from the usual path.
🎯 Core Concept
In the original game, the Explorer skill automatically revealed points of interest (POIs), taking away the joy of discovery. This mod not only removes the auto-reveal feature, but goes one step further:
Finding certain undiscovered locations now grants **temporary or permanent buffs**, encouraging deeper exploration and rewarding attention to detail.

🚀 Gain effect
Temporary gain
- Discovering alchemy tables, forging stations and dice tables reduce the time between when Henry needs to eat or sleep
- Discover hunting grounds and feel the adrenaline rush that will make Henry more efficient when hunting animals
- Discover various miscellaneous locations and Henry's steps will become lighter
Permanent gain
- Slightly increased the speed at which Henry gains more weight capacity at certain locations
- Slightly reduce Henry's physical consumption at specific locations
- Slightly slows the decay of herbs and food in certain locations
- Certain locations provide more luck to Henry - Why do fallen enemies have more money in their pockets?
---
⚙️ How it works
To capture the feeling of exploration from the start, the *Explorer* skill is activated immediately. The older version of this skill was replaced by *Explorer II*.
*Explorer II* can be obtained in the same way as the original *Explorer* skills, embodying another side of exploration - because Henry has roamed the land, he is known everywhere.

✨ New skill effects
Explorer Skills
*"The world holds hidden gifts for those who wander with open eyes and curious hearts. In ruins, glades, and forgotten paths you may find more than silence—for knowledge clings to place as surely as moss clings to stone."*
Explorer II Skills
*"One who has walked this land - you have roamed from monastery to battlefield, from village to deep forest. In every tavern and every campfire story, your name is whispered - as a saint, a sinner, or something in between. Wherever you go, your deeds will echo louder, for you are known in places where you have yet to tread."*

🔧 Main features
- Removed the automatic POI reveal function of explorer skills
- Grants buffs (temporary or permanent) when specific locations are discovered
- Keep the game immersive, challenging and rewarding
- Compatible with other mods that adjust map or skill visuals
---
📝 IMPORTANT NOTE
- Works best on a new save or with no explorer skills selected
- This mod **only** changes explorer skills - does not affect map icons or global experience gain rates
- If you have activated the vanilla skill and revealed all POIs on the map, this mod will not restore that effect

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
