About this mod Machine translation

Reduced the value of food and pots to provide a more balanced game experience.

Reduced Food and Pots Values (PTF)

🎮 **1.3 update is now available! **

🌟Module introduction

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I found that the food values were often unnaturally high (especially compared to the first generation) and sometimes completely unreasonable. As a result, I found myself frequently skipping meals, especially late in the game—an issue I've never encountered in over 700 hours of 1st generation gameplay.

This mod aims to **reduce and rebalance food values** while **correcting some inconsistencies**. For example, there is only 1 point of nutritional value difference between a whole roasted chicken and a cooked chicken drumstick (15 vs 14)!

🍽️ **Please note: This is a first attempt**, more refined values and variations will be provided in the future. A large number of food items have been modified, while alcohol and fruits/vegetables remain largely unchanged.

🔧 Version differences

Normal version

  • Most common non-alcoholic beverage foods (now including open world pots!) have their **nutritional values reduced**, usually by 50%
  • Certain items received bigger cuts, while a few actually received a **slight boost to be in line with similar resources**
  • Raw foods (meat and fish) not suitable for human consumption **increase in energy** and **significantly reduce nutrient content**

Hardcore version (recommended by the mod author)

  • Adds **extra energy cost** to most high-value foods (e.g. cooked beef, cooked wild boar) on top of the normal version
  • Adds **minor energy drain** to less food
  • Raw food** moderately reduces health value**, reflecting its unsafety
  • Experience the real medieval gastronomic life!

⚙️ Installation method

  • Extract the contents of the downloaded compressed package to the `...\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Mods` folder
  • Done!

🔄 Compatibility and recommendations

Now that I've learned to better use the community-made tools Warbox and ITEMS, this mod should be 100% compatible with everything that doesn't change the same values (food, stamina, and health).

Previously incompatible mods such as The KCD2 Nutrition Mod are now fully compatible with this mod.

🔮 Future Plans

I'm currently happy with the results of this mod, but as I progress in the game, balance updates are not out of the question. Stay tuned! I'll also be keeping an eye out for compatibility updates based on user feedback.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
