Blacksmith cap badge repair
🛠️ Bug fixes
This mod solves an equipment display issue in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: when wearing a hat with the Master Blacksmith or Apprentice emblem, the sword belt would be hidden, resulting in the awkward situation of a "naked sword" appearing on Henry's (and NPC's) hip.
⚙️ Technical implementation
By assigning the badge to a previously unused gear slot, both the badge and the sword belt now display correctly!
🎩 Additional improvements
- Fixed several versions of base hats to ensure they don't have the blacksmith emblem where it shouldn't
- Apprentice badges no longer appear on random citizens' black hats
- Matthew von Saaz pinned the badge back on his hat and received his own unique hat design
⚠️ Compatibility Notes
There may be conflicts with mods that assign human equipment to the "horse legs" equipment slot.
📥 Installation method
After unzipping, place the folder into the /Mods folder of KCD2 to install it, and delete it to uninstall it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
