Clean and optimize the MOD to steadily increase the frame rate
Because of another MOD I made, Void Invasion, many low-end machines will be stuck, so I made this MOD.
This MOD mainly does three things:
- Clean up unnecessary random objects on the ground, such as leaves, weeds or some scattered parts, which will be reduced by about 50%.
- Clean up some terrain coverings, such as uncles, big rocks, tree roots, etc., which will reduce the area by about 40-60%. Don’t worry, I didn’t remove the important ruins, such as the pile of giant skeletons.
- Reduce the impact of weather effects. Note that it is not deleted here, because I tested that if the weather effects were deleted directly, not only would there be no visual effects, but some damage caused by the weather would also disappear, so here we only reduce the visual effects of the weather. Basically, a lot of weather is no longer visible.
Note that the lightning and the light beam similar to the orbital weapon have not been removed, otherwise it will be too boring. If it is not enough, you can download a MOD called remove weather, which can completely delete the weather effect.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
