Installation:
Installation (game, automated):
This is the recommended way to install BepInEx on the game.
- Download and install Mod Manager or r2modman
- Click Install with Mod Manager button on top of the page
- Run the game via the mod manager
Installation (manual):
If you are installing this manually, do the following
- Install BepInEx
- Extract the archive into a folder. Do not extract into the game folder.
- Move the contents of BepInExPack_Inscryption folder into the game folder (where the game executable is located).
- Run the game. If everything runs correctly, you will see BepInEx console pop up on your desktop.
- Follow the game running instructions below:
Installation Manual Sub Info:
- Make 2 Folders in the BepInEx Folder called patchers and monomod
- Install and place: API-Patcher into monomod
- Install and Place: BepInExMonoModLoader MonoMod into patchers
- Place the Plugins folder in the Zip into plugins
Installation Steamdeck:
You have to download r2modman on the steam deck’s desktop mode and open it from its download using its “AppImage” file. Then go to the setting of the profile you have for the mods and click Browse Profile Folder. Then copy the BepInEx folder and go to steam and browse Inscryptions local files and paste that in there. Then enter
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
