Renovator
Renovator expands building customization with post-placement editing and curated surface finishes.
Requires FrankMods Core and InfernoProtocolInteropFix. and r2modman install both automatically.
- Move and rotate placed objects through the game's familiar placement preview.
- Use native surface placement, validity feedback, compatible-edge snapping, and optional precision nudges.
- Apply 27 seamless finishes to compatible wood and stone walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
- See a clean mint outline instead of the Building Hammer's opaque target wash.
- Navigate every menu with mouse, keyboard, or controller.
- Keep finishes and object positions across world saves.
- Synchronize committed finishes and accepted object moves from the host to connected Renovator clients.
Hold the Building Hammer, look at a player-placed object within 2.7 metres, and press F6, middle mouse, or R3. Choose Surface finishes or Move & rotate.
Open Mod Settings from the pause menu to remap the keyboard and controller editor shortcuts.
Editing remains host-authoritative. Connected players need Renovator 0.6.0 or later to see synchronized finishes and live post-placement moves. Clients without Renovator receive no custom traffic.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
