About this mod Machine translation

Ghost Skin – Play as a ghost, includes night vision goggles

The player character is replaced by a ghost (Night Fighter) - with a skull mask, tactical helmet and full night fighting gear - retaining all original animations for the three survivors. The helmet comes with an available quad-tube night vision device: Press T to flip the tubes down, and the world turns to classic night vision green. No items, no crafting, no panels - just install it, load any save and you're a ghost.

⚠️ Do not merge with these two mods

The Mandalorian Skin – Both replace the player model and will compete for the same character. Pick one.

Night Vision Goggle Attachment - The Ghost's night vision functionality is built in and uses the same T key; running both at the same time will have a double green overlay and key clash. Uninstall the ghost skin when using it.

Others can coexist - see the compatibility section below for details.

Real skin change, not costume props

The model is re-overlaid onto the game's skeleton at runtime. No action is faked or re-animated: walking, sprinting, aiming down aim, reloading, riding a bike, playing with ragdolls after death - every vanilla animation and IK behavior drives the ghost directly. Rain can also get new gear wet.

✨ What it does

Three survivors - the Hunter, the Mechanic and the Scavenger - have all become ghosts; each can be toggled individually in the configuration

Built-in quad-tube night vision goggles - Press the T button (rebindable) to flip the tubes over your eyes and toggle night vision; press again and lean your hands against the helmet

True Night Vision - Classic Green Phosphor Look: Fixed ISO (EV100) evenly illuminates the entire scene like a true image intensifier with adjustable tones, shadows and film grain

No batteries, no durability - night vision goggles are part of the suit. You can turn it over at any time

The first-person view remains clean - the head and helmet are connected to the game's own head-hiding mechanism, so the inside of the visor is not exposed when aiming

Worn gear hidden, attributes maintained - Equipped vanilla armor and helmets are visually hidden by default to avoid penetrating Ghost abilities; all defensive attributes, durability, scales and repairs apply as before. Switch real-time switching in configuration

4K Texture Atlas - 78 materials of the model are embedded in a 4K atlas with near-source detail and loaded with DXT compression to keep video memory fit

The fine print, honestly

Known Cosmetic Issues: The arms pinch into the torso slightly in certain poses, and the wrist texture stretches a bit under extreme twists - this is most noticeable on Hunter (the female survivor), whose skeleton differs the most from the model's original rig. Rebinding this highly detailed model to the original skeleton has its own limitations; purely visual, with no impact on gameplay

Switch happens when world loads - main menu still shows vanilla survivors

Expect a few extra seconds to load when entering the world (one-time mesh rebuild + texture compression); in-game framerate is not affected

The tube will overexpose when lowered during the day - this is what real night vision will do. turn them over

Pure visual + post-processing: Zombies, judgment, stealth and gameplay are completely unchanged

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
