Fishing Chairs Mod
Take a seat wherever the fish are biting. Fishing Chairs Mod adds three portable places to perch: a compact green fishing stool, a striped lawn chair, and an elevated wooden perch chair. Each chair has its own in-game model and hotbar icon.
How to use
Look at a money vendor and press F4 to open the chair shop. The fishing stool costs $250, the lawn chair $500, and the perch chair $750. Chairs can be sold back through the normal item sale system for half their purchase price.
Hold a chair and look at a flat patch of ground within 8 metres. Hold E to deploy it. Look directly at a deployed chair and tap E to sit. You can still look around, fish, and shoot while seated. Tap E again or press Space to stand. The mod places you directly behind the chair, relative to the direction it faces, after confirming that spot has solid ground. If there is no safe ground behind it, you remain seated.
Looking at a chair shows its type and original owner's name near the bottom of the screen. Anyone can sit in or pick up anyone's empty chair, and the original owner name stays with the chair. Hold E while looking at an empty deployed chair to pick it up. A chair cannot be picked up while occupied. A picked-up chair can be carried, redeployed, and sold like other items.
Chair ownership, type, and placement are saved with the world. The mod keeps its records in BepInEx/config/FishingChairsMod-worlds.json. Everyone in a multiplayer session should install the mod so its items and icons register on each client.

Installation
Install BepInExPack for How to Fish, then place FishingChairsMod.dll in BepInEx/plugins/FishingChairsMod. The ZIP has this folder structure already.
The three in-game chair models are the supplied stool, lawn chair, and perch GLB assets. Their mounting heights are set separately to align with each seat.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
