Fish Health Bars

Displays configurable overhead health bars for fish in How to Fish.

Features

This is a client-side display mod. It reads health values already synchronized by the game and does not modify health, damage, saves, rewards, or network state.

Installation

Mod manager

Install Mod Manager or r2modman. The required BepInEx pack will be installed automatically.

Manual installation

• Install BepInEx 5.4.23.5 x64 for the game.
• Copy BepInEx/plugins/FishHealthBars/FishHealthBars.dll into the matching game directory.
• Start the game normally through Steam.

The game directory is the inner folder that contains How to Fish.exe.

Configuration

Press F8 in game to open the settings window.

The configuration file is generated at:

BepInEx/config/net.howtofish.fishhealthbars.cfg

This mod displays configurable health bars for fish in How to Fish.

Function

• Supports fish types such as ordinary fish, piranha, pufferfish, RunningFish, BowheadWhale and other fish types.
• Supports always-on display, aiming display and after-injury display.
• Adjustable maximum display range.
• RGB colors for high, medium and low health can be adjusted separately.
• Adjustable health bar width, height, number font size and vertical position.
• You can choose whether to display the health bar above the boss's head.
• The configuration page supports Chinese and English.
• Press F8 to open or close the in-game configuration page.
• All settings are saved automatically.

This Mod only reads the game's health that has been synchronized to the client and draws the UI. It does not modify health, damage, saves, rewards, or network status.

Manual installation

• Install BepInEx 5.4.23.5 x64 for the game.
• Copy BepInEx/plugins/FishHealthBars/FishHealthBars.dll to the corresponding directory of the game.
• Launch the game normally from Steam.

The configuration file is located at:
