FishCam
Adds a slow-motion cinematic camera to lethal ranged shots.
About this mod Author’s original text
FishCam
Adds a cinematic camera to lethal ranged shots in How to Fish.
FishCam follows the projectile in slow motion, focuses on the target after impact, then blends back to the player.
Player movement, aim, and held items stay independent of the cinematic camera.
Triggers
FishCam only considers physical projectiles predicted to kill their target. Eligible shots must pass the configured
distance, cooldown, and chance checks. Long shots can be guaranteed.
Misses, water impacts, removed projectiles, and flight timeouts safely cancel the sequence and restore the original timescale.
Hitscan and multi-projectile weapons are not currently supported.
Configuration
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---------------------|--------:|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| Enabled | On | Enables FishCam. |
| Minimum Distance | 20 m | Closest shot eligible for FishCam. |
| Cooldown | 25 s | Minimum real-time delay between sequences. |
| Trigger Chance | 40% | Chance for an eligible shot to trigger. |
| Guaranteed Distance | 60 m | Shots at or beyond this distance ignore chance. Set to 0 to guarantee all eligible shots. |
| Maximum Flight Time | 8 s | Stops tracking projectiles that remain in flight too long. |
Configuration reloads when the file changes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
