A modpack for How To Fish that blends quality-of-life improvements with new gameplay mechanics — sharper UI, extra utility, and a few systems the base game doesn't have.

🧩 What's Included

• Dynamic Crosshair — marks where your gun is actually pointing and traces its live spread cone, including bullet drop and muzzle parallax (client-side)
• Boss Timer — shows the exact synchronized time remaining before the active boss leaves, via a native-style HUD
• Boss HP — shows the active boss's exact synchronized HP beside the native health bar, with matching damage-shake animation
• Mod Menu — settings-only native Mod Settings menu with automatic BepInEx plugin discovery and validated configuration controls
• Fish HP — shows the last locally damaged non-boss creature's synchronized HP and native-style health bar, with official boss-bar damage shake behavior
• Stackable Items — lets the same item stack into one inventory slot (up to 100 per slot, 64 by default), with items individually tracked so stacked items can retain different properties
• Better How To Fish — gives every catch and boss a random size (x1.00–x25.00) that scales health, damage, and sale value, with synced health bars, catch cards, a multiplayer Top 3 leaderboard, and a 25-level rod upgrade workbench for luck, reel speed, and sale bonuses
• HTFSlide — adds sliding, a sprint toggle, and momentum-based launches when you slide off a ledge or jump mid-slide (client-side, only affects your own character)
• HTFBulkBuy — buy in bulk at any vendor, press T to pick a quantity (1/5/10/25/50) and buy that many at once (bait, items, pocket unlocks, weapon upgrades)
• SeaLegs — see your own body in first person (legs, torso, arms, and whatever you're holding) instead of just floating hands (client-side)
• Fishydex — client-side QOL mod that shows which lure catches a specific fish
• BetterSwimming — hold jump to swim up and crouch to dive, letting go treads water instead of dropping like a rock, with wave-accurate buoyancy (client-side, fully configurable)
• ChumBucket — a portable bucket you can drop anywhere; throw your catch in and sell it all at once instead of feeding fish to an NPC one at a time (buckets are shared, so anyone running the mod can sell from any dropped bucket)
• AmmoCounter — shows ammo left in your current magazine, weapon name, installed attachments, and an optional StatTrak™ kill count
• HeldItemNameHud — shows the name of whatever you're currently holding above the hotbar, and your current bait above the bait box
• More Colours — adds a full HUD recolor screen to the Options menu, covering palette, score, combat, vitals, boss bars, chat, inspect, hotbar, HUD, screen effects, particles/splatter decals, menu, and more, with built-in themes and shareable custom presets
• Comprehensive Optimization — pure-performance plugin (JIT warmup, log trim, gentle GC, and earlier island load) that reduces stutter without touching mods, loot, saves, or visuals
• Inspect Fix — fixes the inspect panel staying stuck on stale item info after throwing, selling, or switching items
• NoSharedMoney — replaces the crew's single shared wallet with a separate balance per player, synced across sessions, with a /pay command to send money between players (all players in the lobby need this installed, host included)
• MorePlayers — raises the multiplayer lobby cap from 8 to 32 players (configurable)
• HideVersion — adjusts the transparency of the in-game version text and can replace it with "Modded" for clarity when reporting bugs
• ModUpdateChecker — checks your installed mods against their latest versions and flags which ones have updates available (read-only, doesn't auto-update anything)

⚙️ Installation

• Install Mod Manager or r2modman
• Search for Enhanced HowToFish and install
• Launch How To Fish through the mod manager
