Installation intructions
- Install the r2modman mod manager.
- Set up the mod manager by selecting Hollow Knight: Silksong as your game, then create a new profile.
- On the left side of the app, under the Mods section, select Online and search for MuckedBeastfly.
- Open the mod link and click Download and then Download with dependencies in the shown pop-up.
- Press the Start modded button at the top left of the app to launch and play the modded game!
Manual download
- Download and install BepInEx
- Ensure that the game has run at least once so that a plugins folder is generated in the BepInEx folder besides
the game executable.
- Download the.zip file from one of the sources listed above.
- Extract the.zip file to the generated plugins folder.
- Launch the game and enjoy!
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
