Install
- Install BepInExPack Silksong (5.4.x) first.
- Install dependent mods (not included in this package and need to be installed separately):
- Needleforge 0.9.0
- Silksong FsmUtil 0.3.17
- For Prepatcher projection related capabilities: SilksongPrepatcher 1.4.0
- Back up the existing CrestsEvolve* directory under the game BepInEx\plugins.
- Merge the BepInEx folder in this package to the game root directory (keep the original file and overwrite the same name).
- Start the game. The first startup will generate 5 .cfg configuration files in BepInEx\config\, which can be adjusted with the BepInEx Configuration Manager (F1).
Configuration instructions
- BepInEx\plugins\CrestsEvolve\balance.example.json: Human-readable value reference table (runtime values are subject to F1 configuration).
- BepInEx\plugins\CrestsEvolve\game-bindings.json: the game’s internal member binding table; BepInEx\config\CrestsEvolve\game-bindings.json is actually read at runtime.
- BepInEx\plugins\CrestsEvolve\Textures\*.png: HUD status icon external texture, which can be replaced by yourself.
- BepInEx\plugins\CrestsEvolve\languages\*.json: Chinese and English text coverage.
rollback
Delete the five directories CrestsEvolve, CrestsEvolve.LegendsNeverDie, CrestsEvolve.RageOfTheGoner, CrestsEvolve.ToolsAscension, and CrestsEvolve.InsectMayCry under the game BepInEx\plugins, and delete BepInEx\config\CrestsEvolve and the 5 corresponding .cfg to completely restore the original version.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
