🚀 Important prerequisite

• **Startup method**: Please be sure to start the game from the `HogwartsLegacy.EXE` file in the following path:

`\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64`

• **Disable Full Screen Optimization**: Full screen optimization must be disabled in the properties of the `HogwartsLegacy.EXE` file before launching the game!
• **Wallpaper Engine Users**: If you have `Wallpaper Engine` installed, you need to create a rule so that the program automatically pauses when the game starts!

🛠️ Installation and optimization steps

**1) Adjust the streaming pool size (r.Streaming.PoolSize)**

This parameter value should be set to half of the video memory (VRAM), but it must not exceed 6144 MB, otherwise it will cause a memory leak!

• **6 GB video memory graphics card**: `r.Streaming.PoolSize=3072`
• **8 GB video memory graphics card**: `r.Streaming.PoolSize=4096`
• **12 GB or higher graphics card**: `r.Streaming.PoolSize=6144`

**2) Motion blur settings (optional)**

If you enable motion blur when playing, please **delete** the following lines in the `Engine.ini` file:

```

**3) Replace Chroma SDK plug-in file**

Replace the provided `CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll` file to the following address:

`\Phoenix\Plugins\ChromaSDKPlugin\Binaries\Win64`

**4) Replace engine configuration file**

Replace the provided `Engine.ini` file to the following address:

`C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Phoenix\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor`

**5) Clean shader cache (vital!)**

Be sure to clean the shader cache at:

• **Game own cache**:

`C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy`

• **Additional cleanup for NVIDIA graphics card users**:

`C:\Users\\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache`

**or**

`C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache`
