Treasure Vault Finder
🎯 Module introduction
Are you tired of flying around the map casting *Apparition Spells* just to find all the treasure vaults?
Since there are no crypt trackers in the game itself, finding them all is a nightmare. This mod will locate the nearest unplundered treasure vault for you and plot a path to it on a map. Now, you can quickly find and loot every cellar without worrying about missing any equipment!

🙏 Special thanks
Thanks to iouldifiwantedto for his help with this mod and for writing the Field Guide Page Finder, Collection Chest Finder, and Demiguise Finder mods on which this mod is based.

⚠️ If the cellar has been looted
While this may not happen often, if a mod directs you to a crypt that has been looted, you can press **Shift-F7** to tell the mod to ignore it.
**Please be *100%* sure that the vault has been looted, as this action cannot be undone at this time. **

📦 Installation Guide
You could try using Vortex to auto-install, but it's sometimes unreliable for Hogwarts Legacy mods:
- **Manual installation**:
- Download and unzip the `zKA-TreasureVaultFinder-11101_P.zip` file.
- Place the extracted content into your `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods` folder.
- If the `~mods` folder does not exist, create it manually.
- **Required prerequisites**:
- Make sure you have the Blueprint Apparate Modloader installed.
- **Activate Mod**:
- Launch Hogwarts Legacy and load your most recent save.
- Press the **F8** key, type `KA-TreasureVaultFinder` and press Enter.
- If `KA-TreasureVaultFinder` is stuck on the top row, it may be:
- a) `.utoc`, `.ucas` and `.pak` files were placed in the wrong folder.
- b) One of your existing modules already occupies pakchunk 11101. (You can use PakChunk Checker to check for conflicts)
---
🎮 How to use
It's very simple to use:
- Deselect any ongoing tasks.
- Press the **F7** key and follow the path.
- If you change your mind and no longer want to search for this cellar, press **Alt-F7** to cancel the search.
---
⌨️Default key bindings
By default, the mod uses the following keys:
- **F7** = Find the nearest unplundered treasure vault
- **Alt-F7** = Cancel search
- **Shift-F7** = Mark current vault as looted
---
🔧 Custom key bindings
You can change the key to any key you like by following these steps:
- Go to the `Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor` folder and edit the `Input.ini` file.
- Search for `KA-Vault` and change the green key name to the key you want (a list of available key names can be found here).
- Restart the game.
---
🗑️ How to uninstall
- **Manual installation**: Remove the `.utoc`, `.ucas` and `.pak` files related to `zKA-TreasureVaultFinder-11101_P` from the `~mods` folder.
- **Vortex Installation**: Disable or uninstall via Vortex, but check afterwards that the `~mods` folder is clean.

⚔️ Known conflicts
This mod uses pakchunk 11101. If you encounter a conflict, you can use the Chunk ID Conflict Manager to fix it.

🐛 Known issues
The following are known issues. If you encounter other problems, please let me know in the Posts section.
- **Conflict with Teleport Mods**: When using the Lore Friendly Apparition mod, minimap paths may stop working after Apparating in a cellar. Looting the cellar usually solves this problem. This is a bug in the game itself.
- **Quest Interference**: If you select a quest, the path may randomly switch from the treasure vault back to your quest objective. This is also a game bug.
- **Flight Interrupted**: The path will disappear after riding the broom. This is a game "feature" that currently cannot be disabled. The workaround is to manually place a purple "waypoint" near the cellar location and follow it.
- **Search restrictions**: You can only search for treasure vaults in the "surface" area (that is, you cannot search in dungeons, ancient magic trials, etc.).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
