Toggle HUD Elements (UE4SS)
✨ Module introduction
Tired of having to go in and out of the game settings menu just to adjust the HUD display? Although there are some modules on the market that turn the entire HUD on and off, as far as I know, there is no one that allows you to individually control each part of the HUD.
Now, this mod solves that problem! 🎮 It allows you to **independently switch** the four core elements of the HUD:
- **Mini Map**
- **Tool Wheel**
- **Spell Bar**
- **Gauge Bar** (Health and Ancient Magic Bar)
Of course, you can also turn on and off the entire HUD with one click! Best of all, your settings are saved and will last when the game is restarted.

🛠️ Installation Guide
Prerequisites
First, you need to install **UE4SS**.
Installation steps
- **Automatic installation**: Use Vortex or Mod Manager Download button.
- **Manual installation**:
- Download the ZIP file and extract it.
- Copy the extracted `ToggleHUDelements` folder to the following path:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\`
---
⌨️ Use and keybinding
By default, the following shortcut keys are used to toggle HUD elements on and off:
- **CTRL + 6** = Switch **Mini Map**
- **CTRL + 7** = Switch **Tool Wheel**
- **CTRL + 8** = Switch **Spell Bar**
- **CTRL + 9** = switch **meter bar**
- **CTRL + 0** = toggle **ENTIRE HUD**
🔧 Custom buttons
You can easily modify keybindings! Just edit the following files:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\ToggleHUDelements\Scripts\main.lua`
The modification method is very intuitive. You can find a list of all key names and modifier keys (e.g. CONTROL, ALT) in the **UE4SS official documentation**.
**Modified example:**
- Want to change the minimap shortcut key to **ALT + F1**? Just replace `RegisterKeyBind(Key.SIX, {ModifierKey.CONTROL}, function()` in your code with `RegisterKeyBind(Key.F1, {ModifierKey.ALT}, function()`).
- Want to use the **1** key of the numeric keypad (without any modifier keys)? Use `RegisterKeyBind(Key.NUM_ONE, function()`.

⚠️ Known issues
- **Flying acceleration bar display problem**: If you ride on the broom with the **spell bar hidden**, you will not see the **acceleration bar**. This appears to be a hard-coded limitation within the game itself and cannot be modified.
- **Even more troublesome**: the game refuses to change this setting once you're on the broom!
- **Solution**: If you want to see the acceleration bar while flying, **be sure to turn on the display of the spell bar before** riding the broom.
💡 **Developer complaints**: The game developers are to blame for this problem!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
