🎯 Module Introduction
In Hogwarts Legacy, the player character often assumes strange, hunched-over poses. This was originally the "ready for action" stance set by the game, but it looked really unsightly, especially for female characters.
This mod was created to solve this problem! It will force your character to stand up straight whenever possible and say goodbye to the unsightly hunched appearance.

📦 Installation Guide
You can use Vortex to automate the installation (then skip directly to step 4 below). However, Vortex can be unstable when dealing with Hogwarts Legacy mods (sometimes failing to remove the mod correctly), so I recommend following the steps below to install it manually:
- **Download the module file. **
- **Unzip the downloaded file. **
- **Move core files**: Copy the three files `zStandUpStraight-1017_P.utoc`, `zStandUpStraight-1017_P.ucas` and `zStandUpStraight-1017_P.pak` to the following folder:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\`
- **Install Modloader**: If you haven’t installed it yet, please install Blueprint Apparate Modloader first.
- **Start the game**: Run "Hogwarts Legacy".
- **Load Save**: Load your most recent game save.
- **Bring Out the Console**: Press the **F8** key to activate the Blueprint Apparate Modloader console window.
- **Input command**: Enter `StandUpStraight` in the small window, and then press the **Enter** key on the keyboard.
- **Confirm Activation**: The word `StandUpStraight` should disappear and then reappear at the bottom of the window with an **X** next to it.
- **If it doesn't move** and is still stuck on the top row, then either: a) you put the file in the wrong folder; or b) you have an existing mod that is already occupying pakchunk 1017. You can check this using my PakChunk Checker script. If a conflict exists, please refer to the **Conflict Resolution** section below.
- **Close Console**: Press the **F8** key again to close the mod loader window.
**Note**: The above process only needs to be performed once. After that, the module will automatically take effect.

🎮 How to use
**No key bindings required! ** After the module is installed successfully, it will run automatically to keep your character upright at all times.

🗑️ Uninstall method
**Method 1 (Install via Vortex)**: Disable or uninstall this mod in Vortex. **But be sure to check** the `~mods` folder afterwards to make sure the relevant files have been removed.
**Method 2 (manual installation)**: Delete the following three files directly from the `~mods` folder:
`zStandUpStraight-1017_P.utoc`, `zStandUpStraight-1017_P.ucas` and `zStandUpStraight-1017_P.pak`.

⚠️ Conflict resolution
This mod uses **pakchunk 1017**. Once installed, you can run my PakChunk Checker batch script to check for conflicts with other mods you have.
If a conflict does exist, you can use the Chunk ID Conflict Manager tool to fix it.

🔍 Known issues
The following are currently known issues. If you encounter other problems, please let me know in the post:
- **Eating Animation Anomaly**: When you eat or drink, the animation will sometimes be cut off, or not play at all. **This is a bug in the game**, not caused by this mod (although version 1.0 of the mod did exacerbate this problem).
- **Temporary Solution**: To see the full eating animation every time, you can alternate between eating and casting the base spell, or switch back and forth between eating/drinking two different things.

**Warm Tips**: For players running the latest version of the game, this mod is now available through the official in-game mod system.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
