SpellSpeak
🎙️ ** Use your voice to cast magic! **
SpellSpeak is a program that allows you to cast spells in Hogwarts Legacy by **saying the spell name**. It intelligently switches between the game's 16 spell slots (4 sets of up to 4 spells unlocked through talent points).
✨ Core Functions
- **Voice Casting**: Just say the spell name (such as "Protego", "Confringo") to cast the corresponding spell.
- **Spell Combos**: Now supports spell combinations! Cast multiple spells simultaneously with one phrase, check out the tutorial video for details.
- **Voice Command**: In addition to casting spells, you can also use voice commands to open the "Collection" menu, or use "Okay" to close the prompt box.
- **Enhanced Immersion**: Designed to **immerse you more deeply into the magical world** and feel more like a real wizard.
🎯 Working principle and limitations
SpellSpeak itself **does not provide any additional capabilities**. It simply converts your voice commands into corresponding game buttons.
- **Depends on in-game configuration**: You can only cast spells that you have learned** and are configured in the spell slot**. If you haven't spent talent points to unlock additional spell sets, voice switching will fail.
- **Not a cheating tool**: It is designed to enhance the experience, not to cheat (of course, moderate cheating is not evil 😉).
- **Speech Recognition Latency**: There is an unavoidable delay (about 0.75 seconds, depending on your computer performance). The key simulation process after recognition is extremely fast (<1 millisecond). For fast-paced battles, this can be a problem.
- **"Blind" Mode**: SpellSpeak cannot "see" what spells are actually equipped in your game. It sends keystrokes strictly according to the spell layout table you set. **Please make sure that the layout in the program is completely consistent with that in the game! **
⚙️ Usage tips and optimization
- **Custom Command**: If the computer has trouble distinguishing between "Diffindo" and "Descendo", you can change them to any words you like, such as "Ripper" and "Thumper".
- **Headphones recommended**: In order to avoid game sound effects being picked up by the microphone and mistakenly recognized as voice commands, it is recommended to use headphones for gaming.
- **Silent Mode**: Say "Wand Away" to pause SpellSpeak sending keystrokes (enter test mode), say "Use Wand" to resume. This is great for when someone comes into the house and you want to chat!
- **OPTIONAL COMPONENTS**: To reduce latency, **Auto Hotkey** can be installed. Once installed, the last spell spoken will be mapped to the number 5 key (can be modified in script), allowing you to cast it again faster.
📖 Installation and Setup
- Run the installer to install.
- Start the program and set all spells in SpellSpeak according to the spell layout you actually configured in the game. (It is recommended to enter the game first and note down your layout).
- Click the "Listen" button and SpellSpeak will start listening to your voice!
---
**💡 IMPORTANT NOTE: **
- If you need to modify the command word or adjust the spell position, ** you must first click the "Listen" button to stop the speech recognition **, and then click again to start again after the modification is completed. SpellSpeak only updates the vocabulary when you restart listening.
- You can even adjust spell settings with speech synthesis feedback during gameplay, without having to exit the game. Please refer to the attached user manual for specific procedures.
I hope SpellSpeak can bring you a better gaming experience! It has been heavily playtested, but may still have minor issues. If you were one of the first downloaders - congratulations, you are now a tester too! 🎉
If you're using speakers and encountering strange casting issues, please try adjusting your audio settings before reporting a bug.
Happy gaming! 🪄
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
