🚨 Important Announcement
- **Do not install this mod. ** Please install Skip Alohomora Open All Locks III instead.
- For players running the latest version of the game, updated mods are now available through the official in-game mod system.
🧙 About spell casting animation and spell chanting
This mod will play spell casting animations and spell voice lines... but don't be surprised if they don't appear every time. This is because the game developers added a mechanism to prevent the protagonist from constantly repeating "Revelio" when players frequently use the "Revelation" spell:
- If the same spell is cast consecutively, the protagonist only chants it the first time.
- If the same spell is cast again within 30 seconds, the protagonist will only chant it the first time.
If you want to hear the chant every time, you can circumvent this mechanic by using the Reveal spell first and then basic casting after opening the Alajo Cave.
🤝 Compatibility with the "Stand Up Straight" mod
If you use the Stand Up Straight mod, please update it to version 2.0, otherwise it will interfere with the mod's casting animation.
🔧 Module principle
This is a new version of the original Open All Locks mod, but with a different implementation.
- **Original problem**: The original module uses the "Master Key" function in the game, and there is a "race condition". For players with certain hardware configurations, the module may not have time to take effect, resulting in unlocking failure.
- **New version improvements**: This module uses a new method to completely avoid the problem of "race conditions" and is **theoretically applicable to all players**.
- **Only Change**: You **cannot** no longer use the default interaction key (usually `F` on your keyboard) to open a lock, you must use a different key. The default setting is `F9`, but you can customize it.
💡 **Tips**: If you like the original mod and it just doesn't work occasionally, you can **install both mods at the same time**. Normally use `F` to open the lock, and use `F9` as a backup plan if it fails.
📥 Installation Guide (manual recommendation)
While automatic installation is possible using Vortex, for the Hogwarts Legacy mod, manual installation is more reliable.
- **Download and unzip** the module file.
- **Move Files**: Copy the `.utoc`, `.ucas` and `.pak` files to the game's `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\` folder.
- **Install Modloader**: Make sure Blueprint Apparate Modloader is installed.
- **Launch the game** and load the latest save.
- **Activate Loader**: Press the `F8` key to open the module loader window.
- **Enter command**: Enter `OpenAllLocksII` in the small window and press `Enter`.
- **Verify Activation**: If the command word disappears and reappears below with an `X` next to it, activation is successful. If it stays at the top, then a) the file is in the wrong folder, or b) there is a pakchunk conflict with another mod (check with PakChunk Checker).
- **Done**: Press `F8` again to close the window.
✅ **Note**: The above steps only need to be performed once, and then the module will automatically take effect.
⌨️ Key bindings

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
