⚙️Mod settings
To keep it simple, the mod includes a **`variables.conf`** file in the `Scripts` folder.
All mod settings can be changed in this file without editing the LUA script.
Just read the comments in the file and make the mod behave the way you want.

❓ FAQ
**Will it affect my archive? **
- **Short answer**: I don't know.
- **Detailed answer**:
I haven't played through the main story in full to test if this affects anything. In theory it should only affect visuals, but I wouldn't recommend taking the risk: **Please back up your save files**.
This mod is designed for the late game (because a lot of people complained about the seasons not changing).
If you're brave and want to use it in the current archive, please let me know if there are any issues.
I've included a method to reset the date to any time of your choosing. So if something goes wrong with a save file, you can use this mod to reset the time to a certain moment the game expects.
**How do I set the time to what I want using a mod? **
- Open the **`variables.conf`** file in the `Scripts` folder.
- There are several variables that can be set in the file (with instructions).
- Check the settings of **`dateSetEnabled`** and related variables.
- After making changes and saving the file, press the default **SHIFT + R** in-game to reload the file.
- Then press the key you set to manually change the date, and the date should change to the value you specified.
**How to install? **
You need UE4SS to run this mod.
- Download a release version (preferably the stable version) and unzip it.
- You need two files: `UE4SS-settings.ini` and `xinput1_3.dll`, other files can be safely deleted.
- Place these two files into the following location of your Hogwarts Legacy installation directory: `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64`
- Then, create a `Mods` folder in that location.
- In the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods` location, paste the files of this module.
- Launch the game …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
