Respellio
✨ A floating spell window designed for Hogwarts Legacy. Yes, the name may not be great, but the function is good!
🤔 Why is it needed?
While playing Hogwarts Legacy, I often wondered about the cooldown status of spells in **non-currently active spell sets**. You can't switch spell sets in the middle of a battle to check, only to find that the spells aren't ready yet. That would be too embarrassing!
Also, sometimes I'm in a spell set and can't remember whether to scroll up or down to find the set I want.
🎯 What can it do?
This project adds a floating window that displays the full spell table during combat. you can:
- 👁️ View all spell sets
- 🔄 Easily switch to any spell set
- ⏱️ View the cooldown time of all spells
⚠️ Known limitations
Please note that this module has the following limitations:
- 🖥️ **Working Principle**: The floating window works by reading screen information, which is not the most efficient.
- 🪟 **Running Mode**: Therefore, the game must be run in **Borderless Window Mode**.
- ⏲️ **Cooldown**: The displayed cooldown is based on the base value. If you have the talent "Reduce cooldown with each normal attack", the actual cooldown may be faster than the floating window shows.
- 🛡️ **Non-combat state**: The cooldown will be completed instantly when not in combat, but the floating window cannot recognize this.
- 🎮 **Operation Mode**: Currently only designed for players using **Keyboard/Mouse** and **Table/Row Layout** (non-diamond layout).
🛠️ How to use?
Follow these steps to set up and enjoy the convenience:
- **Adjust detection values**: Edit the `config.json` file so that the detection values match your screen resolution (see below for details).
- Related properties: `boundingBoxTop`, `boundingBoxLeft`, `boundingBoxWidth`, `rowTestsX`, `rowTestsY`, `spellTestsX`, `spellTestsY`, `gridIcon`.
- **Adjust the position of the floating window**: Edit `config.json` and display the floating window in the appropriate position (default is in the upper left corner, which is common but not necessarily convenient).
- Related properties: `size`, `positionX`, `positionY`.
- **Configure your spell**: Specify your spell icon in `config.json`.
- Available spell names include: `accio`, `arresto`, `avadakedavra`, `bombarda`, `confringo`, `crucio`, `depulso`, `descendo`, `desillusionment`, `diffindo`, `expelliarmus`, `flipendo`, `glacius`, `imperio`, `incendio`, `levioso`, `lumos`, `reparo`, `transformation`, `wingardiumleviosa`, and `none` (transparent box).
- **Prepare Icon Folder**: Make sure the `displayicons` folder is in the same directory as the `.exe` file.
- **Run program**: Run the `.exe` file (there may be no obvious changes except that an icon appears in the system tray).
- **Enjoy the game**: Play the game with a floating window!
- **Exit the program**: Right-click the system tray icon and select "Exit" to exit.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
