🐛 Introduction to the problem
This is a fix for official bug number **HL-8823** (and its duplicates such as **HL-9020**), also known as the game-breaking **"Professor Figo's Final Warehouse Bug"**.
This bug will prevent players from talking to Professor Figo, making it impossible to advance to the final trial.

🛠️ Installation and usage guide
⚠️ **IMPORTANT STATEMENT**: Fixing this bug is complicated by the fact that Warner Bros. Games changed the save file format, causing earlier save editors to break. **Please strictly follow the order of the following steps**, any order error may cause the repair to fail.
**Step 0: Back up your save folder! **
- Enter in the address bar of Windows Explorer: `%LocalAppData%\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames`
- You will see a folder named with a 6-9 digit number, which contains many `.sav` files.
- **This is your archive folder. Please make at least two complete copies of the folder! **
When you're ready, take your time. It is recommended to print this page and check the completed steps.
**Step 1-2: Prepare required third-party modules**
- Clear the `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\` folder. Temporarily move everything to another folder (e.g. Desktop), **NEVER** put it in the main game Paks folder or its subfolders.
- If the `~mods` folder does not exist, create it.
- Follow the instructions on each module page to install the following third-party modules:
- **Blueprint Apparate Modloader**
- **UICore**
- **SQL Mod Menu**
**Step 3: Enable third-party mods and create a "clean" save**
- Start "Hogwarts Legacy".
- **Load** your most recent **manual** save.
- Press **F8** to bring up the Blueprint Apparate window.
- Enter `DekUICore` in the top line of the small window and press Enter. (*see tips below*)
- Type `DekSQLModMenu` and press Enter. (*see tips below*)
- Press **F8** to exit the Blueprint Apparate window.
- Fast travel to somewhere outside of Hogwarts and **Save** the game.
- **This step is very important** as it will clear out any corrupted quest resources.
- Exit the game.
**💡 Tip**: After pressing Enter in steps 4 and 5, the text you entered should move to the lower half of the window. If not, it means the corresponding module was installed incorrectly, usually because the file was placed in the wrong folder. They must be placed inside the `~mods` folder.
**Step 4: Install this repair module (reset the mission to the starting point)**
- Download this module manually.
- Extract the PAK file from the ZIP file.
- Copy the PAK file to: `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\`
- **VERY IMPORTANT**: The save in step 3 must be generated before **installing this mod**.
**Step 5-6: Set up the SQL module to repair task data in the SQL Mod Menu (triggered the next time the game is loaded)**
- Restart the game.
- After entering the character selection interface, two new buttons should appear in the lower left corner.
- Select "Database Mods" and the "SQL Mod Menu" window should appear.
- Press ">" four times until you reach the (currently empty) Gameplay section.
- Click “Add New”. A new window titled "New SQL Mod" will appear.
- Click on the title and change it from "New SQL Mod" to "Prof Fig Bug Fix".
- Press ">" to enter the "On Enabled" section.
- Click "Type SQL Operation here" and paste the following SQL code:
```sql
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
