✨ Module introduction
This is an **improved version** of the classic mod **Year Level**! The original mod hasn't been updated in a year and the author has lost contact, so I've brought this new version with many bug fixes.
🆕Main improvements
- **Fine adjustment**: The player's height and head size can be **adjusted up or down (in steps of 2%)** to achieve any ratio you want.
- **State Saving**: Your selected height and head size settings will be retained **when fast traveling or loading the game**.
- **Cutscene Control**: Cutscene scaling can now be turned on and off at any time (even while a cutscene is playing).
- **Physical Fix**: Clothing physical effects **no longer appear abnormal (in most cases)**.
- **Key Customization**: All key bindings can be changed.

🛠️ Installation Guide
**Tip**: While it is possible to install automatically using Vortex, Vortex is sometimes unreliable for Hogwarts Legacy mods (may not remove the mod correctly), so manual installation is **recommended**.
Manual installation steps
- **Download** the module file.
- **Extract** the contents of the compressed package.
- **Move** the following three files to the game Mod directory:
- `zPlayerHeight-1028_P.utoc`
- `zPlayerHeight-1028_P.ucas`
- `zPlayerHeight-1028_P.pak`
- **Destination folder**: `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\`
- **Install** the required **Blueprint Apparate Modloader** if it is not already installed.
- **Launch** the "Hogwarts Legacy" game.
- **Load** your most recent save.
- Press the **`F8`** key to activate the mod loader.
- Enter **`PlayerHeight`** in the small window and press **`Enter`**.
- If the word `PlayerHeight` disappears and reappears below with an **`X`** next to it, the load is successful. If it's stuck at the top, check the file path or use my **PakChunk Checker** to check for conflicts.
- Press **`F8`** again to close the mod loader window.
**Note**: The above process only needs to be performed once, and then the module will automatically take effect.

⚙️ Custom key bindings
You can change the key bindings to any key you like by following these steps:
- Make sure you have installed the latest version of the module and have run the game at least once (press F8 to load).
- Enter: `%localappdata%\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor` in the address bar of File Explorer and press Enter.
- Find and right-click the **`Input.ini`** file and select "Edit" or open it with Notepad.
- Search for "PlayerHeight" and you will find entries similar to the one below.
- Change the **green highlighted** portion of the entry (e.g. `bAlt=True`, `Key=NumPadTwo`) to the key you want. For key names, please refer to the official list.
- Save the file and restart the game.

🗑️ How to uninstall
**Method 1 (Vortex users)**: …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
