🚨 Important Announcement

For players running the latest version of the game, this mod is now available through the official in-game mod system.

If you are running an earlier version (before May 4, 2023), you **must** use Hogwarts Mod Merger v0.14 to convert this mod to a format compatible with your version of the game, otherwise the game will crash. Just select the "game version" closest to the version you're running. Alternatively, you can use the "FebVersion" file in the "Miscellaneous Files" section of the "File" tab.

📜 Module Introduction

This is a fix for official bug number HL-12745 (as well as other duplicate reports such as HL-13144, HL-13070, HL-12826, HL-12776, HL-12442, and HL-654). This bug is also known as the "Trial of Percival Rackham Bug", "First Trial Bug" or "Pensieve Cutscene Bug" which disrupts gameplay.

There are several versions of this mod, each with slightly different functionality. The latest version (V6) combines all previous fixes into an all-in-one solution designed to address all 14 known variants of the bug.

🛠️ Installation and usage guide

Please strictly follow the recommended steps below to ensure success:

• **Clean the module folder**
• Move **all contents** out of the `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\` folder. It is recommended to temporarily put it on the desktop, etc. **Never** put it in `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\` or its subfolders.
• If the `~mods` folder does not exist, create it.

• **(Optional) Test the official fix**
• At this point, you can try running the game to see if the problem is resolved. For some players, the official fix may have already taken effect and was just blocked by other mods. If the problem is solved after removing the mod, you do not need to continue. If that doesn't work, or you want to make sure it's fixed, continue to step 3.

• **Download and install this module**
• Manually download this module and extract the PAK file from the ZIP file.
• Move the PAK file to: `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\`
• **Note**: The `~` symbol in the folder name is **very important**! It gives the folder and the mods within it a higher loading priority. Without `~`, the mod will not work.

• **Verification and Use**
• Launch the Hogwarts Legacy game and load your most recent "The Trials of Percival Rackham" save.
• Open the equipment interface and check your health. If the health value ends with the number "9", the module has been loaded successfully. If it is another number, the loading was not successful, please go back and check the above steps.
• Once the mod is properly installed, the cutscene will start immediately, or when you activate the Pensieve. 🎉

Once you get past the Pensieve cutscene, this mod is no longer needed (unless you decide to go back to an earlier progression in the game for some reason). Just delete this mod's PAK file from the `~mods` folder and put your other original mod files back.
