Open All Doors (UE4SS)
⚠️ **Important: Do not use this version! **
The game update on July 24, 2024 broke all versions of UE4SS, so mods that rely on it (including this mod) no longer work.
I've created a new version called **OpenBuggedDoors** which is written based on Blueprints and does not require UE4SS. Please use that version.

🚪 Module Introduction
When you unlock a locked door, the padlock flies away and the door can be opened. But when you return later, you sometimes find that the door is locked again (i.e. refuses to open) and the padlock does not reappear, preventing you from unlocking it again. For example, the door to the principal's balcony has this problem.
This mod will unlock these doors for you.
**⚠️ WARNING**: This mod can also unlock **some** doors that still have padlocks. But **don't use it for this purpose! ** This may break future missions. Additionally, it will cause the game to crash the next time you fast travel. The reason is unknown. (If I have time, I will rewrite this mod using blueprints to fix this problem.)
Sorry, this mod **cannot** give you access to other houses' common rooms! It only opens "normal" doors, and those doors are not normal doors.

📥 Installation Guide
**Step 1**: Install **UE4SS**.
**Step 2**:
- **Option A**: Automatically install the mod via the "Vortex" or "Mod Manager Download" button.
- **Option B**: Manually download the ZIP file and extract the `OpenAllDoors` folder to the following directory:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\`
---
🎮 Usage / Key Binding
By default, the mod is triggered with the following key combinations:
- **Ctrl + Delete** = Unlocks all doors within approximately five steps of the player (including above/below).
**Please note**: The `Delete` key here is the small key with `DEL` or `DELETE`... **not** the big backspace key in the upper right corner of the keyboard marked with the left arrow or `BACKSPACE`!
You can easily change this keybinding by editing the following file:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\OpenAllDoors\Scripts\main.lua`
The method of modification should be intuitive. A list of key names and modifier keys (CONTROL / ALT etc.) can be found in the **UE4SS documentation**.
**Example**:
- If you want to change the keys to `Alt + F1` instead of `Ctrl + Delete`, please change:
`RegisterKeyBind(Key.DEL, {ModifierKey.CONTROL}, function()`
Change to:
`RegisterKeyBind(Key.F1, {ModifierKey.ALT}, function()`
- If you want to use the `1` key of the numpad without modifier keys (i.e. no Shift, Ctrl or Alt), use:
`RegisterKeyBind(Key.NUM_ONE, function()`
---
🔧 Troubleshooting
If the mod doesn't seem to be working, check the UE4SS log files here:
`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\UE4SS.log`
Copy and paste any error messages from that log file into a post to me and I'll try to help.

🪟 Hide UE4SS console window
After installing UE4SS, I see a gray console window every time I launch the game. This is UE4SS running, but you don't need to see it, and it can cause game instability. To hide it, edit the file `Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\UE4SS-settings.ini` and change the following three items to `0`:
```ini
ConsoleEnabled = 0
GuiConsoleEnabled = 0
GuiConsoleVisible = 0
```

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
