Mouse gesture casting

Still suffering from the default magic casting controls? I made this mod to save you! ✨

At first, you may find it difficult to aim, or your spells may not be as effective as expected. But you have to know that waving a wand is inherently difficult, and that’s the beauty of magic! However, once you get used to this approach, you'll find it to be far more comfortable and intuitive than the traditional approach. I've been happily gaming with mouse gestures for over 20 hours and still continue to use them. I bet you'll love it too! 💖

⚙️ Detailed explanation of settings

You can edit the `settings.ini` file to create your own unique gestures!

**Main function settings (`[Functions]`)**

```ini
GestureKey=~RButton
DirectCastPage1=1
DebugToolTip=0
Overflow=0
AxisLock=1
```

  • **GestureKey**: The key that activates the gesture. Default is `~RButton` (right mouse button). The `~` symbol means "the original function of the key will not be blocked". Please consult the AHK V1 documentation for more information.
  • **DirectCastPage1**: When enabled, press the 1234 key to directly cast spells on page 1. When disabled, the 1234 key casts the spell of the currently selected page (just like the original game).
  • **DebugToolTip**: When enabled, a prompt message will be displayed every time you make a gesture, telling you which gesture and key are activated.
  • **Overflow**: Gesture overflow filtering function. When enabled, if there is no corresponding command for the gesture `LU`, nothing will be done. When disabled, attempts to match `L` commands.
  • **AxisLock**: Lock the gesture input axis to the direction of the first gesture. When enabled, starting from the second gesture, only input from the same axis as the first gesture will be accepted. For example: the next gesture after `L` must be `R`; the next gesture after `LR` must be `L`.

**Page 1 direct cast keys (`[DirectCastPage1Keys]`)**

```ini
Spell1=1
Spell2=2
Spell3=3
Spell4=4
```

  • The key bindings for directly casting spells in each slot on page 1 are defined here.

**Gesture customization (`[Gestures]`)**

```ini
L={F2}1
U={F2}2
D={F2}3
R={F2}4
LR={F3}1
UD={F3}2
DU={F3}3
RL={F3}4
LRL={F4}1
UDU={F4}2
DUD={F4}3
RLR={F4}4
```

  • Gestures are fully customizable! The format is: `{}`.
  • For example: `LRU={F4}2` or `LRLRU={F4}4`.

🔷 Diagonal version

This version supports gestures in **8 directions**!

**Main Differences**:

  • "AxisLock" function is not supported.
  • The keywords for gesture configuration are different. It is no longer `LRUD`, but works like a numeric keypad:
  • 7 8 9 | ↖ ↑ ↗
  • 4 X 6 | ← X →
  • 1 2 3 | ↙ ↓ ↘
  • Please refer to the `settings_diagonal.ini` file as an example.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
