About this mod Machine translation
Hello everyone,
This is what I would call a "fix" for the camera being too close to the player inside a building or in a small area (perhaps with a lot of walls).
First Person AND Customizable Cameras (With UI)
🎮 **A powerful camera perspective customization module that allows you to fully control the view of Hogwarts! **
✨ Core Functions
- **First Person Perspective**: Experience an immersive magical world.
- **Fully Adjustable Camera**: Freely adjust the camera position via the intuitive **in-game UI** (press **F6** key to turn on/off).
- **Fix perspective problem**: Specifically fix the problem of the camera being too close to the character indoors or in a narrow space.
🛠️ Installation Guide
- **Required prerequisites**: Download and install the **xinput version** of RE-UE4SS, and extract it to the `Hogwarts Legacy/Phoenix/Binaries/Win64/` directory.
- **Install this module**: Unzip the compressed package of this module to the `Hogwarts Legacy/` directory (same level as the `Phoenix` folder).
- **Load UI (one-time operation)**:
- Also requires the Blueprint_Apparate module to be installed.
- Press **F8** in game to open the Blueprint_Apparate menu and enter `CameraUI` to load the in-game UI correctly.
- **Reload the game** for it to take effect.
⚠️ **Known Issues**
- **Alt+Tab**: May cause the game to re-enable input and lose UI focus. Solution: Press **F6** to close the UI, and then press **F6** to reopen it.
- **Close Menu**: Currently, you need to click the **"X"** button in the upper right corner of the UI to close the menu. The F6 key cannot temporarily close the menu.
📂 Files and Configuration
- **Global Settings**: Located in `Win64/Saved/Settings.json`.
- **Camera Settings**: Located in `Win64/Saved/CameraSettings.json`.
💡 **Quick Configuration (Indoor Camera)**
Thanks to user **Meltus** for sharing the basic settings! If you don't want to adjust it manually, you can replace the following content with the corresponding configuration in the `CameraSettings.json` file (for example `"indoor_config 1"`):
```json
"indoor_config 1": {
"Y": -60,
"Z": 15,
"X": -215
}
```
You can check the currently used configuration number in `Settings.json` and replace `1` above accordingly.
🗑️ Uninstall method
- Delete the entire RE-UE4SS module loader, or just the `TestCameraOffset` folder located under `Phoenix/Binaries/Win64/Mods/`.
- Delete the `Phoenix/Binaries/Win64/Saved/` folder.
- Delete the three `z_CameraUI_P` files (.utoc,.ucas &.pak) from the `/Phoenix/Content/Paks/~mods/` folder.
🙏 **Special thanks**
- Fix patch provided by **pinguluk** to solve the problem of module failure after crash and fast travel.
- Practical camera setup shared by **Meltus**.
🚫 **Important Statement**
Re-uploading after modifying this script without explicit permission is **strictly prohibited**. You can modify and use it for yourself and your friends, but please respect the original work.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
