✨ Module Introduction
Hogwarts Legacy itself looks great, but its visual quality is diminished by a drab world, blurry textures, and a seemingly greenish tint in some locations. Filmic ReShade solves these problems by revolutionizing visuals with simple, **frame-free** effects and shaders.
One unique feature of Filmic ReShade is its built-in **Movie Mode**, which you can toggle by pressing the **F5** key on your keyboard. This mode removes all HUD elements and adds a black border effect to really focus on the game world, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in it. The implementation of this mode is inseparable from the **Toggle HUD** module created by ZachFettx. Thanks to Zach for making this mod, go support it and download his awesome work!
Based on my personal experience with this preset, there are two main issues when using Movie Mode:
- **UI pop-up problem**: When any UI pop-up window appears (such as dialogue options, tutorials, mini-games, field knowledge pages, etc.), the game will appear to be paused after enabling movie mode. To fix this issue, you need to turn off movie mode, interact with the popup, and then turn it back on. I know it's not very "immersive"... but unfortunately there's only so much that can be done at the moment.
- **Pre-rendered cutscenes**: Pre-rendered cutscenes are completely incompatible with cinematic mode.

🎮 Recommended combinations
In order to achieve the same effect as in my screenshot, I recommend you to install the following modules at the same time:
**Character appearance enhancement**
- **Female Player Face Fixes**: Fix facial expressions and animation issues for female player characters in normal gameplay.
- **Vessnelle's Complexions**: Highly recommended! I used the C1 face shape for my character and it worked great.
**HUD optimization in non-movie mode**
- **Dot Reticle**: The original reticle was ridiculo …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
