Female Face 1 Smaller Jaw Edit

💖 **DESCRIPTION** 💖

This is a custom face model that replaces the in-game **Female Face #001**.

It has been edited based on the original game model.

✨ **Includes 3 face shape options**:

  • Improved jaw area.
  • Reduced jaw size and improved overbite.
  • Made minor adjustments to the cheeks.
  • The rest of the face remains unchanged.
Please see the changelog and pictures for comparison.

---

🎭 **Two animation options: Standard or Stiff**

  • **Standard Edition**: No changes to expressions and animations.
  • **Stiff version**: Reduced expression animation range.

⚠️ **IMPORTANT**: Please **select only one of these options**.

---

📂 **Installation** 📂

  • Extract the `.pak`, `.ucas`, `.utoc` files to the following directory:

`SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods`

  • Delete the file to uninstall the module.

🔧 **Troubleshooting**

If the mod doesn't work, try the following steps:

  • If you use Vortex, try installing the mod manually.
  • Make sure your folder contains all 3 file types: `.pak`, `.ucas`, `.utoc`.
  • Check for conflicting mods.
  • Change mod location: try placing it in the `Paks` folder instead of the `~mods` folder.
  • Change mod priority: Adjust the loading order by renaming the files (for example, changing the first letter from "z" to "a").

❓ **FAQs** ❓

1. How to check compatibility and conflicting mods?

Incompatible mods may cause the game to crash, freeze, or fail to launch, or the mod may not display at all.

  • **Compatible**: All custom face models are compatible with appearance modification mods using different Chunk IDs (e.g. skin, makeup, hairstyle, etc.).
  • **Not Compatible**: Any mod that replaces the same numbered face (**#001** in this case), or mods that modifies the same game asset.
  • **Potential Conflict**: Female Player Face Fixes by BobG123
  • **TOTAL INCOMPATIBILITY**: Any mod using the same **Chunk ID 212**.

2. How to check the Chunk ID of a module?

Most mods will include this information in their description or file name.

You can also use the PakChunk Checker by iouldifiwantedto tool.

3. Your module uses the same Chunk ID as other modules. Can it be fixed?

Any **Chunk ID** conflicts can be resolved using the Chunk ID Conflict Manager by iouldifiwantedto.

4. Can I change the face number replaced by this module?

**Can't. **

5. Can you change this mod to a non-replaceable version (add new face shape)?

**Can't. **

6. What is the difference between standard version and stiff version animation? Which should I choose?

  • **Standard Edition**: Does not change the character's facial expressions, it is the original animation effect of the game.
  • **Stiff Version**: Suitable for players who like to reduce facial expression animations (such as smiling, raising eyebrows, etc.).
Early in the game's release, female faces looked different than expected outside of character creation/menus/cutscenes. There is an issue with overly exaggerated expressions during cutscenes and dialogue. Although the issue was officially fixed in the patch on March 8, 2023, some players still prefer the stiff version to the original/standard animation.

7. How to change the appearance of an existing character?

Use Character Editor by nathdev (requires Blueprint Apparate Modloader by Narknon).

8. Problem: My character becomes invisible or has model errors during cutscenes.

This is most likely because you are using the Curly Hair - Bellatrix Style by Kailiana mod at the same time. Please check for other conflicting mods.

9. How do I make my character look like in the picture? (Model in picture)

See the next section for mod links.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
