Extended Character Creator (DOESN'T REPLACE)
🎉 **We did it! **
A mod that adds a lot of content already in the game files to the character creator of Hogwarts Legacy without replacing any of the original files! That’s right, nothing will be covered!
---
✨ Completed content
- **23 female faces** (including faces similar to Poppy)
- **24 male faces** (including faces similar to Sebastien and Ominis)
- **17 female hairstyles** (including bald and Poppy hairstyles)
- **25 hairstyles for men** (including bald heads)
📝 To-do list
- Eye color (possible)
- Add more hairstyles from game files
- Fix hair color display (possible, but unlikely)
---
🛠️ Installation instructions
- Place the files into the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods` folder.
- **If the game crashes**: Place the files into the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks` folder.
⚠️ Current known issues
Hair color displays incorrectly in character creator, but works fine in game.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
- The custom icon I added replaces the default error icon (used to indicate something is missing, like an icon).
- If you see the wand icon **anywhere** other than the hairstyle selection page, that means there is an actual bug in the game and you should post in the Discord community for help.
📌 Compatibility Notes
- This file deeply modifies the `DT_AvatarPresets` data table.
- It is **not compatible** with any future mods using the same method.
- If hairstyle creators are willing to cooperate, I can continue to add to the game:
- More hairstyles
- Eyebrow color and shape (possible)
- Eye color (possible)
- Head style (possible, unlikely)
- Hair color (possibly)
- Facial markings (possible)
- Skin color (possibly)
*Makeup (possibly, including lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow and blush)
**A note on "possible"**: I see this data in the modified datasheet, but so far I've only tried adding hairstyles.

🙏 Thanks
Thanks to Narknon, Hoax2, and other contributors (I'm not very good at remembering names). Thanks to everyone for making this possible!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
