About this mod Machine translation

Automatically sets in-game seasons to match in-game months. That is, December to February = winter, March to May = spring, and so on.

Auto Season

🎮 Module Introduction

By default, the game changes seasons every time you complete a Guardian Trial. But if you push too fast, you might end up with winter (with Christmas decorations) in September, spring in October, and summer in November. This mod will automatically adjust the in-game seasons and decorations to match the in-game months, making the passage of time at Hogwarts more realistic!

---

📅 Season corresponding rules

The module will automatically switch seasonal and holiday decorations according to the in-game month:

  • **🍂 September-November = Autumn** + October with Halloween decorations
  • **❄️ December-February = Winter** + December has Christmas decorations
  • **🌷 March-May = Spring**
  • **☀️ June-August = Summer**

🛠️ Installation Guide

**Manual installation is recommended**, the steps are as follows:

  • **Download** the module file.
  • **Unzip** the downloaded compressed package.
  • **Move** the `.utoc`, `.ucas` and `.pak` files to your game Mod folder:

`Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods\`

  • **Install** Blueprint Apparate Modloader if not already installed.
  • **Launch** Hogwarts Legacy and load the most recent save.
  • **Press the `F8`** key to activate the mod loader.
  • Enter `AutoSeason`** in the small window and press `Enter`.
  • If the command is successful, the word `AutoSeason` will disappear and reappear at the bottom of the window with an `X` next to it. If it stays at the top, there may be an issue with the installation (the files are misplaced or conflict with other mods).
  • **Press `F8`** again to close the loader window.
**✨ Tip**: The above activation process only needs to be performed once, and then the module will automatically take effect.

🎯 How to use

The module is **fully automatic** and usually requires no manual intervention. The only exception is when you complete a "Guardian Trial", the game forces a season change. At this point the mod will not be changed back immediately until you do one of the following:

  • **Fast Travel** to another location.
  • **Press the shortcut key `ALT + e`**: Perform "Auto Season" adjustment immediately.

---

⚠️ Known issues

  • **Halloween Decoration Bug**: Due to a bug in the game itself (see the discussion forum for details), the Halloween decorations in the **Clock Tower Courtyard** (in front of the wooden bridge) will be displayed throughout the fall (September 1st - November 30th), not just in October. This problem is hard-coded into the game code and is difficult for modders to fix.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
