Automatic pickup and interaction

🎮 **Make your trip to Hogwarts easier! ** Tired of pressing buttons to pick up items while exploring? This mod will free your hands!

---

✨ Mod version

This module provides two versions, you can choose according to your needs:

  • **🔹 AutoLoot version: **
  • Automatically collect treasure chests, loot drops, and harvestable items such as jumping mushrooms, lacewings, and ash snake eggs.
  • (Note: Leech Juice cannot currently be collected as it appears to be a Niagra effect rather than an interactable entity.)
  • **🔹 AutoInteract version: **
  • Simulate frequent pressing of the interaction button to achieve fully automatic interaction!
  • **Tips:** If you accidentally get stuck in the animation of petting a cat, you can press **Shift+F** to toggle the automatic interaction function on and off.

---

⚠️ Known issues

*AutoLoot version cannot collect leech juice.

  • The AutoInteract version may cause some interactions to occur that you don't want.
  • **Important:** This mod will not work properly if you change the interaction key from the default **'F'** to another key in the game settings menu.
  • This mod uses pak chunk 73 and may not be compatible with other mods that also use this chunk.

---

📋 Prerequisites

You need to install one of the following mod loaders:

  • UE4SS
  • or Apparate Modloader

---

🛠️ Installation and usage guide

**Using UE4SS loader:**

  • In the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\mods.txt` file, set `BPModLoaderMod` to `1`.
  • Install this mod’s `.pak`, `.utoc` and `.ucas` files into the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\LogicMods` folder.

**Use Apparate Modloader loader:**

  • Install this mod's `.pak`, `.utoc` and `.ucas` files into the `Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods` folder.
  • After entering the game, press **F8** to open the module loader menu.
  • Enter the following command in the menu:

```
DekAutoLoot
```

  • The mod should now appear in the menu list of Apparate Modloader.
  • **Note:** Regardless of which version you are using (AutoLoot or AutoInteract), the command entered is `DekAutoLoot`. Only one version can be used at a time.

**💡 Tips:** If you encounter the problem that the module cannot run when using Apparate Modloader, you can try adding a **`!`** symbol in front of the module file name. This seems to solve the priority issue when using a large number of mods.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
