🚀 Mod Introduction

**Ascendio Portable** is an unofficial performance hotfix for Hogwarts Legacy, developed by **Seifu**. It is distributed through **SIA | Public**, an open source installer also developed by Seifu, which has a clean, user-friendly interface and is designed to be as intuitive and simple as possible. This app runs natively in the Steam Deck's KDE Plasma desktop mode, so the installation process should be quick and easy.

**Ascendio Portable** is based on **Ascendio III** and currently includes the following installation modules:

• **FPS Hotfix**: Original FPS hotfix ported for Steam Deck. Compared with the original game, it can reduce lag and provide about 10% performance improvement, which can get about 5 more frames.
• **Fine Tuning**: Automatically set the most optimized graphics settings for Hogwarts Legacy on Steam Deck.

⚠️ **PLEASE NOTE**: This is an unofficial hotfix and not some black magic. Some performance issues in games stem from backend bugs and core functionality issues and should ideally be addressed by developers at the editor level. So while this mod may work, it doesn't fix all lag issues, just most of them.

This mod is currently in a very early stage of development, so there are still some modules missing. FSR3 is based on Nukem9's implementation and currently cannot be run on Steam Deck. However, it's likely that a ray tracing hotfix will be added in a future update.

I've tested this mod on the Steam Deck OLED and it works fine: all installation paths are set up automatically and it works fine. If you encounter any problems using this app, please let me know!

📥 How to install/uninstall

* **Run the game for the first time**: If you have not run the game yet, please start it once in order to generate the configuration file that Ascendio needs to adjust.

* **Run the installer**: Unzip the provided .zip file, and then run the "Ascendio Portable Installer" file in it!

* **INSTALL & UNINSTALL**: You will find the Install and Uninstall buttons on the first page of the app.
