🎮 **A visually enhanced preset that brings magic to Hogwarts Legacy**

✨ Original intention of creation

The game world of Hogwarts Legacy is inherently magical, with stunning vistas, mysterious interiors, magical creatures, and beautiful landscapes. However, when I started playing, I always felt that the graphics were a bit... **bland**? The color of the original version tends to be taupe, the visual effect is slightly muddy and blurry, and the light fails to create the atmosphere that Hogwarts should have. That was my starting point for creating this mod.

My goal was to find a balance that enhanced the atmosphere of the game while respecting the developer's original visual vision. I don't want to completely change the look of the game, I just want to **enhance** how the world is supposed to make players feel.

🎨 Visual effects

By carefully combining various tools from the ReShade library, I worked to improve the game's contrast, visibility, color performance, ambient lighting, and detail while minimizing performance compromises.

• **Daytime**: The image is brighter and atmospheric, with a touch of warm color and magic.
• **Night and Indoor**: The contrast between light and shadow is stronger, and the overall tone is more saturated, creating a more fascinating atmosphere.

💡 **Tips**: Before trying it, take a look at the screenshots! I’ve prepared a lot of “before and after” pictures of different scenes and atmospheres so you can see at a glance.

🔧 Core Technology

This preset mainly uses the following ReShade toolset:

• **Lightroom**: Shape color and contrast.
• **FilmicPass**: Create the look and feel of a mysterious world, adjust contrast and curves.
• **Bloom**: Adds glow effect.
• **AmbientLight**: Enhances atmosphere and dense lighting, perfectly matching the game's lighting system.
• **Tint**: Adjusts the overall bluish tone to a more neutral color.
• **Colourfulness**: Increase the vitality of the picture.
• **Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS)**: Dramatically enhances detail and texture clarity.

📥 Installation Guide

• **Download ReShade**: Go to download the latest version of ReShade (currently using version 6.2.0 for testing).
• **Select a game**: Run the installer and select `HogwartsLegacy.exe` in the list **or** Manually browse to the game directory (**Important**: Please select the exe file in the `Phoenix` folder, the path is usually similar to `...\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64`).
• **Select API**: Select **Direct3D 10/11/12**.
• **Select effects**: Check to install the following effect packages: **Standard effects, qUINT, SweetFX, Legacy effects**. (Alternatively, you can directly select the `.ini` default file of this module, and the installation program will automatically select the desired effect.)
• **Installation Preset**: Manually copy the `ArcaneAuraPreset1.ini` file downloaded from this site to the ReShade installation directory (that is, the directory where the game exe selected in the previous step is located).
• **Complete**: The basic file installation is completed!
• **Start Test**: Start the game and the ReShade loading prompt should appear at the top of the screen. Press the **Home/Pos1** key on your keyboard to open the ReShade menu and use the folder button at the top (next to the two arrows `<>`) to load this preset.
• **Enjoy the Magic**: You’re done! Start your magical journey!

🔄 **Uninstall**: Simply delete the `.ini` file from the game directory, and/or uninstall ReShade.
