ALT-XP

🎮 ** Take control of your Hogwarts journey! **Tired of the constant upgrade rhythm? This mod gives you complete control over how quickly and how your character levels up!

✨ Core Functions

  • **Customized upgrade curve**: Provides a variety of presets, from linear growth to exponential growth, there is always one that suits you.
  • **Fine experience adjustment**: Through the "Experience Behavior" sub-module, 7 options are provided to adjust the amount of experience gained from different activities (such as combat, exploration).
  • **Seamless compatibility**: Can be used with modules such as "Main Mission Level Balance" to create a perfect personalized upgrade experience.

🛠️ How to use

  • **Backup Archive**: Safety first! Please back up your game saves first.
  • **Choose File**: From the provided `.pak` files, select **one** based on your preference (linear or exponential curve).
  • **Place File**: Copy the selected file to the `~mods` folder of the game (create a new one if it does not exist).
**💡Module merging tips**:
This module modifies the `PhoenixShipData` database. If you have installed other mods that also modify this file, you need to use **Hogwarts Mod Merger** to merge them to avoid conflicts.

⚠️ Important information (for old saves)

If you are not opening a new profile, after applying the mod, you need to use the save editor to adjust the experience points of the current character to match the new upgrade curve you selected.

  • **Recommended Archive Editor**:
  • Hogwarts Legacy Save Game Editor
  • Hogwarts Legacy Save Editor
**🚨 WARNING**: Skill points will not be refunded for lowering your level through the editor, nor will you gain additional skill points for exceeding the level cap. To avoid problems, it is recommended to adjust the experience points to a range that matches your current level.

🔗 Recommended matching modules

For a more complete personalized experience, the author recommends the following modules:

  • **Mainquest Level Balance**: Evenly distribute the main quests between levels 1-40, making the upgrade process smoother.
  • **Accio Masochism - All-in-One**: In the optional file, select the "Enemies (Level Scaling)" feature. If you want to keep the enemy's level in sync with you, it is recommended to use the `zMasochistEnemyLevelScaleNoMinLevel_P.pak` variant file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
