Accurate Dialogue Choices (With Lie Indicator)

✨ Mod Overview

Have you ever been in a situation where you chose a dialogue option and your character said something completely different than what you expected? 😲 You didn’t want to sound condescending, but ended up making arrogant remarks? Or was it meant to be sarcastic, but the character ended up saying it lightly? Don't worry, **this mod is here to solve this problem! ** 🛠️

I basically **reworded** all the dialogue options in the game to more accurately reflect what your character is about to say.

This mod also fixes one of the biggest issues with dialogue in this game: the **illusion of choice**. I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, but you'll encounter situations where you thought you had to make a big decision through dialogue options, only to find out... the options are all the same. This will never happen again. You now have a clear idea of what the character is thinking.

Additionally, I added the **(Lie)** suffix to the dialogue options to add some spice. 😉

📁 File description

**Accurate dialogue selection**

This file is my manually rewritten version of the dialogue options. You usually get the gist of the dialogue options, but you don't see the full lines. Additionally, the game will tell you if you're telling a **shameless lie**!

**Example image:**

**Full dialogue selection**

This file will show you the exact lines your character is about to say!

**Example image:**

**NOTE:** This file also contains the lie indicator in the options! If you want full dialogue selection without indicators, check out yakuzadeso's dialogue selection mod!

**OPTIONAL FILE**

  • **Accurate dialogue selection (without lie suffix)**: Removed *(lie)* suffix from dialogue options.

ℹ️ Other information

**Compatibility Note** ⚠️

This mod modifies the following files in the game's default Pak file:

`Phoenix/Content/Localization/WIN64/SUB-enUS.bin`

**Any mod that modifies this file may be incompatible. ** Some examples of known incompatible mods are as follows:

  • Language and subtitle options - any audio any text

**About Translation** 🌍

*Unfortunately, I only speak English, so this mod **only supports English**. 😔 If anyone is proficient in multiple languages and wants to make a translation mod, I give you full permission to upload it as a mod!

**TO-DO** 📋

  • ~~Create "full dialogue selection" for other languages. ~~ (Not actually needed! yakuzadeso's dialogue selection mod is basically the "full dialogue selection" file here, but with versions without the lie indicator for all languages.)
  • Adding a section here listing all my dialogue changes for anyone interested to see.
  • Put my changes on Github so people can see how I made them, or try making your own conversation edit.
  • Make modified subtitle files overwrite other language files for players who want modified subtitles but want the game to remain in other languages.

**ACKNOWLEDGMENT** 🙏

  • **lordvoldem0rt** Thanks to Parseltongue for his awesome tool! Without it, this mod wouldn't be possible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
