About this mod Author’s original text

Weapon Fusion

Hades II mod allowing you to fuse any* 2 weapons and their aspects. Takes Attacks and Specials from different weapons and combines them into a single weapon. Also supprts some AspectYoungMel aspects.

Gameplay examples of what it looks like in action:

  • Xinth plus Persephone
  • Moros plus Xinth

Installation

Use r2modman by ebkr or GitHub.

It is recommended to backup your save from %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Hades II\Profile*.sav in case there are any unforeseen issues.

Update and un-installation

It is recommended to only update or uninstall the mod while in the Crossoroads. If weapons seem broken after update/uninstall try re-fusing or cycling through all of them.

It is recommended to unfuse weapons before uninstalltion.

Usage

Salute the silver pool to fuse weapons. Fusion will only be possible once all weapons are unlocked.

Fusion can only be performed in the Crossroads training grounds.

If it feels like the fusion didn't apply properly try starting a run/reloading the room. If it still seems bugged would really appreciate a bug report:).

Same weapon fusion

There is also support for fusing two aspects of same weapon.

Note: During same weapon fusion, if any hidden aspect is fused as a primary it will override both the attack and special moveset.

Some minor limitations

  • Aspect of Pan as primary does nothing when fused with any non-dagger aspect.
  • Aspects of Medea, Eos and Moros don't have a Minor Aspect since they are heavily Attack oriented.
  • Skull's Minor Aspect of Melinoe only affects Persephone and Medea (they're the only other ones with Ammo).
  • Some weapons' attack/special will not produce Nyx's Nightspawn

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide. Hades II uses the game's built-in mod import — unzip the pack and place it where the readme says.
