List of changes
Regions
Erebus
- Overall enemies are faster but have worse tracking, which leaves them vulnerable to backstabs
- Wastrels no longer do the second claw attack
- Thorn-Weepers now can blind you, but hitting them will destroy their roots
Fields
- I already liked this region so I didn't change much
- Most attacks are faster, for consistency
- Some enemies are less spongy
- Lamias got a new move I'm sure people will hate:D
Bosses
Hecate
- Starts each fight with a different spell
- All 3 clones now can attack independently
- New ranged attack
- Invulnerability times are shorter
Scylla and the Sirens
- Kept Roxy as is (she's great)
- The other two got new attacks, which more or less follow Roxy's tempo
- The Featured Artist now attacks more aggressively
Hidden boss
- Nerfed the spin attack, but overall he's more dangerous to ranged builds
- Removed the iframes while dashing
- In phase 2 he'll pray the god's assistance
Vow of Rivals
Hecate
- This fight is meant to bring Hecate's trickery to a new level!
- She no longer uses Dark Side in favor of better mimicking her clones
- New trailer-accurate teleport attack
- Each clone can cast a fake sheep ball
WARNING: don't start a run with VoR 2 or above!
Configuration
Each part of this mod can be enabled/disabled independently in the config file, so you can pick only the fights you like. You can also force the hidden boss to show up at every shop in case you have a crush on him. There's also a Prometheus prototype, which is disabled by default, but you can enable if you want to try it.
In r2modman there's a button named "browse profile folder", click there, then go to ReturnOfModding/plugins/DDberry-Dx2_Enemies, this is where the config file is located. You can change it in any text editor.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide. Hades II uses the game's built-in mod import — unzip the pack and place it where the readme says.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
