SosigEngagementTweaks

v1.0.0·Updated 2026-10-04

Makes Sosigs notice, engage and shoot at far longer ranges, and optionally hold position instead of closing in. Everything is tunable in-game, including range-dependent accuracy falloff.

Sosig Engagement Tweaks

Decide how far Sosigs notice, engage and shoot — and how accurate they stay at range.

Control how far Sosigs can detect, engage, and fire, as well as how accurately they fire at long range.

Everything defaults to vanilla. Installing this mod changes nothing by itself.

Open the in-game mod settings panel (Sodalite wrist menu → Mod Config) and raise the options you want.

All options are equal to the original version by default, and there will be no changes to the game after installation.

Please open the in-game mod settings panel (Sodalite wrist menu → Mod Config) and increase the desired function to take effect.

About / about

A small AI-made plugin, made for people who are tired of shooting at targets that never move in vanilla.

It can be enabled on any large map — the bigger the map, the more the range multipliers matter. It stays

completely inert until you tune the options yourself.

This is a small plug-in made by AI, for those who are tired of shooting the targets that stand still in the original version. Can be enabled on any large map:

The larger the map, the more obvious the effect of distance magnification. It does not affect the game at all, it will only take effect if you adjust the option yourself.

Options / options

| Option | Default | What it does / Function |

|---|---|---|

| DistanceMultiplier | 1 | How far anything can be noticed (you, hostile Sosigs, any AI) and a Sosig's own view range. 2–10 = further.

The distance at which all entities (you, enemy Sosig, other AI) can be seen + Sosig's own vision. |

| ThreatReactionMultiplier | 1 | How far away a Sosig treats a target as a threat.

How far away is a target considered a threat? |

| MaxWeaponRangeMultiplier | 1 | Weapon max range — the main dial for engagement distance. Past it a Sosig stops shooting.

The maximum range of the weapon: the key item that determines the distance of the firefight. If it exceeds it, no shots will be fired. |

| AimAngleToleranceMultiplier | 1 | Aim-angle error tolerated before firing; vanilla tightens hard with distance.

The aiming angle error allowed for firing, the original version is very tight at long distances. |

| HoldPositionDistance | 0 (off) | Above 0: an armed Sosig with a target closer than this stops and shoots instead of closing in.

When set to >0, the gun-wielding Sosig will stop and fire when the target comes within this distance. |

| MaxSpreadMultiplier | 1 (off) | Above 1: bullets spread more with distance, capped at this value. 3–6 recommended.

When set to >1, projectile dispersion increases with distance, capped at this value (3–6 recommended). |

| VerboseLogging | off | Debug logging. / Debug logging. |

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
