v1.0.0·Updated 2026-10-01

A Minecraft sky island beneath a permanent night sky. Sandbox map designed for Safehouse Progression.

About this mod Author’s original text

Skywurst

A little slice of Minecraft, suspended above the void. Bring your own sausages.

A custom Skyblock-style island, ported to H3VR as a nighttime sandbox and intended home for Safehouse Progression.

What's inside

  • A floating island with a main house, storage huts, an underground shooting range and a dark room for testing lights and night vision.
  • A permanent Minecraft-style night sky, with extra celestial detail visible through night vision.
  • Detailed lanterns, cozy lighting for your gear, and an animated fountain with Minecraft running-water ambience.
  • H3VR surface responses, climbable ladders and navigation.
  • Fall recovery returns the player and loose physical items to the spawn area after dropping roughly 30 metres below spawn.

Quick setup

  • Install Skywurst through r2modman or Mod Manager, including Atlas and its dependencies.
  • Launch H3VR using Start modded.
  • Open the Atlas sandbox map selection and choose Skywurst.

For progression play, also install Safehouse Progression Mode Beta and its dependencies. Remove Toolbox Check is optional if you want toolbox access throughout the map.

The Safehouse shop replaces the regular item spawner. Furnish the island with your own items and save them through your chosen scene-save/progression setup.

Known issues / future work

  • The island has open edges. Fall recovery is there to catch you, but watch your step, and your equipment.
  • Chests are decorative; use your own items and storage setup to furnish the map.

Credits

  • H3VR map port and setup: @Quaternion.
  • Original Minecraft block models, textures and running-water sound: Mojang Studios / Minecraft.
  • Built with MeatKit and Atlas.
  • Safehouse Progression: NGA.

Changelog

  • 1.0.0: Fixed smoking-dock floor gaps with solid wood blocks and supported corner posts.
  • 0.1.5: Updated map and package credits.
  • 0.1.4: Shortened package description.
  • 0.1.3: Increased probe intensity to 6x.
  • 0.1.3-rc1: Added probe intensity controls and brewing stand/flower pot collision.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
