Pixel Gun Preston
A Take and Hold (TnH) character themed after Pixel Gun 3D featuring custom sosigs and vanilla-inspired progression!
About this mod Author’s original text
Pixel Gun Preston
A Take and Hold character by yours truly utilizing my recently-completed (if you stretch the definition of "recent" enough) Pixel Gun 3D weapon pack, Pixel Gun Preston puts a new twist on a vanilla-styled progression.
It also uses a bunch of custom Sosigs, each themed after a certain category of weapon from Pixel Gun (Hitmen use pistols, Troopers use rifles, SMGs, and shotguns, Berserkers use melee, ect.) and gaining increased
armor protection after every hold phase.
The difficulty curve starts rather standard but increases significantly after the third hold; heavily armored enemies, toting powerful weapons and specific damage resistances, become commonplace. You'll need the most
powerful weapons and ammo that tokens can buy and plenty of sharpshooting skills to make it through to the end, good luck! This character is balanced mostly around spawnlock, limited ammo is uncharted waters.
Features
- Custom Sosigs!
- Hitmen, Troopers, Berserkers, Engineers, Snipers, and Demomen
- Class-specific gear, hats, and Wood, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Adamant armor
- Vanilla-inspired progression (quite tough near the end)
- Fully custom shop icons
- All pixel guns, all the time!
Tips
- Rock the starter gun until after the first hold and save up for a big gun
- Turrets are powerful but can easily frag you if you don't give them space
- Use rail risers to work around the goofy eye relief on some scopes
- Guns can take more attachments than you may think - try to stick an optic or UBGL on your gun, you may be surprised

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
