The KN57 Assault Rifle

Just like the ICR1 and ICR7 fiasco, I can't be certain on how this is the sequel to the KN44, when the setting of BO4 is a prequel to the likes of BO3...

The KN57 is a futuristic branch off of the modern series of AKs. It doesn't have an AK safety lock, ambidextrous with its fire select, multilateral mag latch, a foldable and extendable stock, the list of differences goes on! Main it like you would with any other AK!

Features

A bunch of ergonomics included with this rifle. Be sure to utilize that flexible stock, and it also is one way compatible with 7.62 magazines. The KN57 magazine will not work with vanilla AKs or related weapons.

There is also Picatinny and Muzzle mounts. One picatinny mount near the rear sight will reveal itself if an attachment is placed on it, and that rail is what dressed up the no attachment, base gun in BO4.

Sources and Credits

Assets come from the game Call of Duty, Black Ops 4

Many thanks to Kirloper for his COD asset repo!

Updates

V1.0.1 -- A careful precedure of material settings tweaks, as well as a shift of the lower reciever color texture from C texture to S texture, to better match the source material color. The upper receiver reducing the metallic tones to achieve its brighter tan, I am not sure how thats gonna look in game, so over time I'll see if I prefer this or my original textures.

V1.0.2 -- Readme restoration, PB compatibility

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
