HK Slap Sound Pack
Modifies sounds to give HK-pattern weapons that iconic slap! Read the description if you're a gun creator or sound creator!
About this mod Author’s original text
Jack Foxtrot's HK Slap Sound Pack
This is just a small pack that gives weapons with HK-style handles the iconic slap sound. Might tweak these a bit. Feel free to inspect the.h3mod yourself. Will be added as a dependency for my sound mods, but is also recommended as a standalone mod.
Hope you enjoy!
Currently, it replaces:
Weapons
- HandleDown for all HK-style weapons
Requires Sideloader. If manually installing, place the jfslap.h3mod file in the BepInEx\Sideloader\ directory.
These sounds are not mine!
Tips if you're a gun creator or sound creator!
If you're a sound creator like me, take a look inside the mod and listen to the.wav files, and check manifest.json. The sounds I use for the slaps are basically _just_ the handle part, rather than hearing the handle slap + the bolt being sent forward. The bolt forward sound is taken care of already by the guns' existing sounds. _H3VR_ will automatically play the slap + forward combination. If you're making sound mods of your own, feel free to add my mod as a dependency. If you're wanting to make your own slap sounds, just remember the sound should _just_ be the isolated slap.
If you're a gun creator and you want to make this compatible, go into your gun's Audio Profile and make sure you've assigned _H3VR_'s AUG_HandleDown, UMP_HandleDown, G3_HandleDown, or MP5_HandleDown to the Handle Down parameter. If you want to make your own slap sounds, follow the advice mentioned above and then assign that sound to Handle Down.
Handle Up is played when the handle hits that little notch up top, whilst the handle is locked in the up position.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
