Replaces all weapon reverbs

About this mod Author’s original text

Description

Replaces all weapon reverbs with custom-mixed sounds from Insurgency, MW2019, and Battlefield 4

The direction for this is to make these sounds a bit more realistic, and a bit punchier.

Covers all 8 Different weapon reverb types (set by the base game sowwy)

Each weapon reverb group has 6 types: insideNarrow, insideSmall, insideWarehouse, Open, OpenEnclosed, OpenForest

I merged this down to 4, combining insideNarrow/insideWarehouse, and Open/OpenEnclosed

in exchange, each each reverb group has 4 different sounds per environment instead of 1-2

note:

that in the preview video, all suppressed small arms are using outdated sounds (cuz for some reason suppressed pistols and intmediate rifles use the same suppressed tail sounds O.o), but if you don't like the new sounds (they're a bit beefier, mixed for rifles, not pistols), they can be toggled back on by setting the "suppS_ALT" addon to a priority higher than 5 in your config.

same story for the indoor rifle/fullpower rifle sounds, as theyve been adjusted to have the 'pop' pistols have. if you dont like this for some reason, im sorry, but also you can toggle the old ones back by setting "int_alt" and "fp_alt" to a priority higher than 5.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
