Sweep your gun/magazine/clip/speedloader over a quickbelt slot that holds magazine/cartridge/clip/speedloader and the gun/magazine/clip/speedloader reloads itself, arcade style.

Detailed Features (TLDR above)

Show

  • Gun has a magazine, quickbelt slot has a magazine - the rounds are moved over from the quickbelt magazine into the gun's magazine.
  • Gun has a magazine, quickbelt slot has loose rounds - the loose rounds are pushed into the gun's magazine one at a time, the way you would push them in by hand. If the slot holds a palmed stack of rounds, the whole stack is used.
  • Gun has no magazine mounted, quickbelt slot has a magazine - a magazine in the quickbelt slot is inserted straight into the gun.
  • Gun cannot take magazines/uses internal mag, quickbelt slot has loose rounds (single shot rifles, break actions,...) - rounds from the quickbelt are loaded into the chamber, one at a time.
  • Revolvers - rounds are loaded into the empty cylinder positions only, one at a time, and only while the cylinder is actually open (swung out, or the loading gate open on a single action). Fired casings that are still sitting in the cylinder are left where they are, unless you edit the config to allow them to be replaced.
  • Speedloaders - sweeping a revolver's cylinder over a speedloader in the quickbelt loads the cylinder in one go, moon clips and all - and, like the game itself, only while the cylinder is open.
  • Cylinder-magazine guns (revolving shotguns like the Jackhammer, the grapple gun) - their removable cylinder is a speedloader object, so sweeping a loaded cylinder into them inserts the whole cylinder the way the game does it: the rounds land in the gun's own chambers and the gun actually fires. A gun whose cylinder is already in cannot take a second one, and an empty cylinder is never swallowed.
  • Clips automatically feed the magazine - works just like if it's loose rounds in the quickbelt.
  • Secondary magazine slots count as well: rounds fill the gun's own magazine first and the secondary magazines on the gun after that, and a magazine from the quickbelt can be inserted in an empty secondary magazine slot automatically.
  • Magazines you are holding can be filled too - hold a magazine in your hand and sweep it over a quickbelt slot holding loose rounds, a clip or another magazine, and it takes the ammo. Same rules as always: rounds and clips go in one at a time, a quickbelt magazine is poured in. Picking a magazine out of a slot is not a sweep, so the fresh copy does not eat the ammo of the slot it came from - carry it away from the quickbelt first.
  • Speedloaders and clips in your hand can be filled too - a revolver speedloader, or the cylinder you just ejected out of a revolving shotgun / grapple gun, takes rounds out of a quickbelt slot one chamber at a time (loose rounds and clips both work, and the round type has to match the cylinder). Eject the cylinder, sweep it over your shells, then sweep the gun over the cylinder and you are loaded again.
  • Mixed ammo is respected, in stack order: if a quickbelt slot holds a stack of different rounds (a buckshot shell with a slug palmed behind it, a mixed tracer stack,...) the gun is loaded with them in the order they sit in the stack, just like if you were loading them by hand manually.
  • Underbarrel weapons are supported too: underbarrel launchers and shotguns etc. reload from the quickbelt exactly like a normal gun, using their own magazine well, tube or chamber. Sweeping also works if it has attached to another gun; if they use the same magazine/round type, the main gun is filled first.
  • Spawnlocked slots behave like spawnlocked slots: the magazine / clip / speedloader / round in there is never used up, the gun gets a copy of it. Normal (Not-Spawnlocked) slots are consumed normally as you reload.
  • Configurable, changes apply live (no scene reload needed).

How to use

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
