About this mod Machine translation

Fuk U Sony We Have Access To (Almost) All Console-Exclusive Features Now

For those who use PSVR2 but didn't know, you can use PSVR2 Toolkit to enable eye tracking and adaptive triggers etc on PC. There are already a couple of games (and mods) utilize those features so I think we should have this too.

Features

  • Clicky trigger effect with Dual Stage trigger simulation
  • Force feedback when firing, simulating recoil "kicks" (also vibration-based feedback as an alternative) - works on normal firearms and on attachable firearms (underbarrel launchers, masterkey, etc.)
  • Only the hand that actually operates a trigger gets force feedback: hold the grip and you feel everything, hold the foregrip and you don't, and akimbo pistols give both hands fully independent feedback
  • Disable the effects when the gun is empty so you'll know when you're out of ammo (still an approximation, disabled by default)
  • Headset vibration when firing and/or when getting hit, stays at full strength during full-auto fire
  • Works with the new CAPI and automatically falls back to the legacy IPC protocol so people who haven't updated PSVR2 Toolkit are not left behind
  • Configurable (somewhat), config changes apply instantly

Known Issues and Limitations

  • You need to install PSVR2 Toolkit for this mod to function (Obviously!)
  • Headset vibration needs the CAPI (the old IPC protocol has no rumble command), so if the mod fell back to IPC you only get the trigger effects
  • My will still make controllers' batteries drain faster than not modding, but the mod now only talks to the controllers when something actually changes
  • No per-weapon (type) configurations
  • The headset vibration does not scale with firearms' actual recoil strength
  • The force-based recoil kick is not great on extremely high RPM weapons, turn on UseVibrationFeedbackForRecoil for those
  • I've never touched real firearms in my life so I don't know how realistic the trigger simulation is. If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me.

I Asked Myself These Questions

The mod doesn't work!?

  • Update PSVR2 Toolkit. The mod now supports both systems: it uses the new CAPI when it can and silently falls back to the legacy IPC protocol when it can't, so an old toolkit will still give you trigger effects (just no headset vibration).
  • If the log says something about not finding psvr2_toolkit_capi.dll, jump to "Where does the mod look for the PSVR2 Toolkit CAPI DLL?" below.
  • Headset vibration requires Jailbraking your headset.

Where does the mod look for the PSVR2 Toolkit CAPI DLL?

TLDR: Reinstall the PSVR2 Toolkit and make sure you are following the latest instructions properly and extracted those additional DLLs as well.

There used to be psvr2_toolkit_capi_loader.dll, which probably triggers 's anti-malware detection, so the mod does the loading itself now. It checks, in order:

  • psvr2tk_capi_path.txt in your system temp folder (that is %TEMP%, usually C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp - the PSVR2 Toolkit driver puts it there). The file contains one line: the folder that holds psvr2_toolkit_capi.dll.
  • The Steam library that contains "PlayStation VR2 App" (steamapps\common\PlayStation VR2 App\SteamVR_Plug-In\bin\win64, found through the registry + libraryfolders.vdf), which is where the file normally lives if you installed the toolkit correctly.
  • The mod's own folder / the game folder / the plugins folder, in case you copied a DLL there by hand.

Note that the txt file itself has to be in %TEMP% - not next to the mod and not next to h3vr.exe, the loader only ever looks in the temp folder.

It's really useless and glitchy

  • Sorry, I'm not good at modding. If you have any suggestions, feel free tell me. (Discord: Nicola_Niko666, I'm in UTC+8 timezone so probably won't respond to messages in time)

  • I'll do my best.🫡

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
