hint:
Do not use debug mode when using this tool module.
Since the code of other Mods will be deleted when debugging the Mod in the Mod Editor, the effect of this expansion module cannot be displayed during debugging.
After setting up your configuration file, export your Mod from the Mod Editor, import it into your local module, check your Mod, and make sure "Mod Production Expansion" is also checked.
Then you enter the game and open the player panel or NPC panel to see the expansion effect.
1. Overview
"Mod Production Expansion" is a tool module that expands some functions that may be used in Mod production.
For example, adding interactive buttons, merging plot options, playing videos of adventure plots, customizing attributes, replacing plot images, etc.
(For Mod authors: It is convenient and quick to add interactive buttons, custom attributes and other functions. If you have any questions, you can communicate.)
(For players: There is no need to care about the usage of this tool module. If the Mod you use depends on this tool module, you can also import and check this module.)
2. Specific instructions
For specific instructions, please refer to the Mod_ModExt\ModAssets\ configuration instructions of this Mod.
There are also configuration examples inside.
3. Function
1. Add interactive button
NPCInfoButton.json
This configuration file allows you to add some interactive buttons to the NPC panel. Clicking the button will open the configured plot.
Example effect preview:
2. Merge plot options
The plot production currently provided by the official can only rewrite the dialogue to achieve the effect of adding options. As a result, if two mods want to add options to an official plot at the same time, they will overwrite each other. This is one of our most common conflicts, and the option merging function solves this problem very well.
Through option merging, you can add specified options to specified dialogues without overwriting other mods or being overwritten by other mods.
Please see the documentation for details.
3. Play video
Add video files or directories to your mod directory ModAssets/video,
Then fill in "vid_video name" in the background of the plot to make the plot play the video.
Please see the documentation for details.
4. Customize global attributes
GlobalAttr.json
This configuration file allows you to customize some global attributes (data) (you can also think that these attributes (data) only belong to the player). These global attributes will be displayed below the player's information panel.
Each Mod has its own column.

5. Customize npc attributes
NPCAttr.json
This configuration file allows you to customize some attributes (data) for NPCs. (Players will also have these attributes (stats)). These attributes will be displayed below the NPC's information panel.
Each Mod has its own column.
Example effect preview:
6. Big map actions will definitely try to trigger your plot
MapActionDrama.json
This configuration file ensures that your large map behavior will definitely try to trigger the plot you configured.
Solve the pain point: the big map behavior trigger is occupied by other mods, causing the plot of your mod not to be triggered.
Using this configuration file of "Mod Production Expansion", the above pain points will no longer bother you.
7. I will definitely try to trigger your plot after the moon passes.
MonthEndDrama.json
This configuration file configures the plot dialogue you want to try to trigger after the month has passed.
Solve the pain point: the problem that the plot of your mod is not triggered due to the moon tri …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
